Thanks eveyone for the support. I am feeling better now. Luckily I have a wonderful man who has a way of getting me to just breathe and go with the flow. We have decided that we'll just get married in whatever other spot works and that it really shouldn't matter where that is, gazebo or no gazebo. I think I was just in shock. I have to thank you ladies though because I am not sure I would have been so easily calmed if I hadn't found out about this before getting down there! You girls are wonderful!!!

Well, I have confirmation from Cecilia. My wedding is in exactly 1 week and the gazebo will not be finished. She did not tell me ANYTHING about any of this. I emailed her 2 weeks ago to get the easurements for the pilliars and she emailed them to me saying not a word about the construction project. I have emailed her 5 times since I heard about this and i FINALLY got an email back. I am crushed. How could they do this?! I booked that gazebo a YEAR AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is insane. You can bet your ass they are going to compensate us for this (not that that could possibly make up for this) but considering that after I got measurements I had drapes made specifically based on those measurements, and considering we ALMOST went with the Palace who gave us a better quote but chose Dreams BECAUSE of the gazebo. I'm sorry I know I'm rambling but I am just in shock. She wasn't even going to tell me. That's not right.

Okay ladies, I'm on it. I will get to the bottom of this gazebo rumor right away and let you know what I find out. My wedding (at the gazebo) is in 9 days and lord help me if I get there and it's torn down! I'll get back to ya.

Hello Brides! Haven't been on here in a while so I just had to read pages and pages to catch up! I am panicing a little about this news of the terrace remodeling. My reception is there and in just 2.5 weeks! YIKES! I just emailed Cecilia and I am hoping that this won't be until after my wedding since she has not mentioned it to me at all! Other than that we are all set! My only issue is that I have emailed Cecila for 2 weeks with last min questions and no reply so far. I know eveyone says she's great when you are there so I try to be forgiving but it's just a little frustrating when you can't get in touch with her. Sorry, just venting here. Anyway, the salon is working to book another stylist because they can't seem to get all my bridesmaids in even though they all contacted them months ago. I strongly suggest you and any ladies that may want salon services (hair & makeup) call 6 months out. In spite of these few small speedbumps I am so so ready to be married and so so so ready for Mexico! Its becoming harder and harder to focus on the day to day (work, laudry, etc.) less than 2 weeks till I get on the plane! Our date is April 24th so be looking for a review from me in May!

No problem! I will sure be happy to post a review with all the details for you. I do have one question for any of you. I am trying to decide on DJ or no DJ. I had initially thought I would go with the DJ but now I am having second thoghts. We have been building playlists and such to give ot the DJ and since we are both into music we have pretty much the entire night of music planned out! I know I have read that a lot of the Dreams Brides have resorted to bringing their own BOSE docking station. How did that work? Was it loud enough? Also, what did you do about your first dance, garter toss, ect? I don't want to skip those things but to be honest that is the only thing that is making me want the DJ. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks a bunch!!!

HELLO LADIES!!! I have been sitting back and reading this site from a distance for close to a year. I finally joined a few weeks ago and so I thought I'd go ahead and post... I am a Dreams Cancun bride all set and ready to go for April 24, 2010. Right around the corner! We booked with Dreams about 6-7 months ago and have been working with Cecilia since then. Our wedding is in the gazebo and the reception will be on the terrace. For now I just thought I would say hello but you might hear from me again if I need your help :-) Oh, and for all of you with dates later than mine, I'm happy to help you out too!!!

Hi :-) I am a Dreams Cancun bride set for April 2010. Welcome! How is your planning going so far?

We are less than 12 weeks out from our wedding at Dreams and SOOOOO ready to be there! I am wondering if any other Dreams brides out there can help me to know what to expect. Aside from the paperwork, I haven't gotten to speak to the WC very much. When I do, getting answers is tough. I have been talking with a lady there named Cecilia but I keep hearing that Claudia is the actual WC. Is that true? Also, We are booking guests like crazy and I want to know what kind of perks we're alble to get from that. Any ideas? I know we'll get a room upgrade. Should I try and negotiate anything else? Has anyone else got a date booked between now and April? Thanks in advance, any insight helps! Katie

Hi! I am in the same boat with you. I have had my April 2010 booked for months along with the 20 and still increasing number of guests booked. It is shocking how little the WC seems to even want to speak to me. I agree that it's very frustrating. It has taken more time trying to communicate with her than pretty much anything else. I have never spoken with Claudia although I have heard great thigns about her. I always end up talking to Cecilia. Anyone else know who that is I don't have advice for you but I can tell you that all the reviews and blogs I have read say that once you get down there the team is very helpful. I am just trusting the other brides I figure that's the safest bet ;-)
