  1. I am having a 'invitation nightmare' too! We have 80 invites going out. Our Calligrapher told us they'd have them done by 12/30/08. They supposedly went out last Saturday (1/10)...although NO ONE has recieved them yet. We think they may be one of those lost bags in the post office...and we have no way to track them. we're giving it until next Tuesday before we re-order and FedEx them out. What a eff'ing nightmare!!!!
  2. I think we're the only 2 for march weddings w/the same date! Yeah, this weekend is my 'get on the ball weekend'...I'm just going to get everything ready to order for the OOT bags so on Feb 1st I can order and be done with it. Let me ask you...are you making your bags at home and then shipping them or are you sending everything directly to Mexico to make once you are there?
  3. Hey: I take it you are ordering the grocery bags for your bags...are they being personalized? If so, where did you get them from? We're doing beach towels in ours, so I want to keep the actual bag prices down and thought this would be a great option. Thanks. Carrie

I still have to buy nearly everything for the OOT bags, get my dress altered (its been hanging in my closet since LAST MARCH, and still needs to be taken in a size and have the train removed...) and the guys in the wedding party don't have their clothes. I also don't have music, flowers, hair or shoes, or attendants gifts sorted out, and neither of us have wedding bands or passports...Maybe I should have listed what I DO have done- my dress, and invitations. Oh my. Carrie- seems like we have our work cut out for us Ha ha, Ch2344 - we do have our work cut out for us! Don't know what you are having the guys wear...but I found jimsformalwear.com to be useful for that...the guys need to get their own flip flops though ;-) I'm totally relying on the resort for the music, photograher, flowers, videographer, centerpieces, so I am not sweating those things...although we'll put together a list of the dance music and whatnot. The OOT bags are my big thing as well as actually getting the dress ;-) I am going to have to do alterations too, so I'm hoping I can find someone here that can do it in under 2 weeks. Good times!! good luck with your planning.

I'm looking for the welcome letter for the OOT bags...I figure I can do this before I have to start ordering stuff. I want to give it another week or so before I start stalking people for the headcount...some of them haven't even got their invites yet (invites went in the mail late on Saturday with a RSVP date of 2/1/09.)
  6. Hey Ladies: I am late to the game here! My date is March 6th Dreams Cancun. Wedding invites are going out this week. Dress is ordered and should arrive ~ Feb 11th. I haven't started the OOT bags, or purchased attendant gifts, I've contacted the photographer and the DJ for the wedding but am not going to stress out about the poor correspondence until we get there. Waiting to get a headcount before I start to think about everything, but in retrospect, that might be a poor decision. Does anyone have a copy of a 'welcome letter'? PS....I'm stalling on the headcount because we could have anywhere from 30-120 people...we invited 150. Thanks and I'm glad I found this forum! Carrie
  7. I was thinking in the $100-$200 range. I was thinking either digital picture frames or a pair of nice sunglasses and then a little trinket or two. Does anyone have any other ideas?
  8. Bummer...those are my colors too (aqua and chocolate). Where did you find the pashminas? What a great idea! Carrie
  9. Stacey: Thanks so much for posting your pictures from Juan...I feel a lot better after seeing them (versus what he has posted on his website). I hope I don't encounter that cigar roller.. Thanks again! Carrie
  10. Hey Everyone: I'm fairly new to this and hope I'm doing it right. Has anyone actually used Juan Navarro and are you happy with the photo package? I've read some strands and it seems as if not a lot of people went with this option and since I'm trying to keep costs minimal, I'm wondering if he's totally horrid or if what he produces is acceptable? Thanks. Carrie
  11. Hey everyone: I just found this forum...and I'm glad because the big day is about 2 months away!! Starting to sweat the small stuff (even though I know the resort covers most of it.) Invites are ready to go out (wanted to wait until all the Xmas cards were out) and my panic has begun!! Carrie
