  1. The nice thing about the resort is that we never felt like we had 50 people attending our wedding everyone went off and did their own thing, though everyday there was a big group of us at the main pool. We had a cocktail party friday night at Tuscanes, passed Hor Dorves had our ipod playing(if you have an ipod player, bose etc...bring it as theirs didnt work to well), but the food was awesome....we had floating candles, tiki torches, and sand bags with candles....our ceremony was at the garden gazebo which was awesome, there people on their balcony watching the ceremony. We had our reception on the beach at the white gazebo, the wind wasnt too bad, but we did buck up and pay for the tent, which was well worth the price....as for pics we are waiting for the photogs to get back with us, but i will try to post some pics for you....
  2. I was fortunate to have out wedding at EDR on March 14th 2009. We had 50 guests that attended. I wanted to help put everyones mind at ease for having their wedding at EDR, everything was perfect. DO not second guess your decision on this, because after it is over you will not regret it. The EDR wedding coordinators are great and were on top of their game, as were the waiters/bartenders who served our wedding. Yes, they do nickel and dime you about things, but in the long run it was still cheaper then having a wedding in the states. We had Claudia Rodriguez photography take pictures for us, Citlalli and Tamra, unreal to work with. We have yet to see the final pictures, but am sure they will be awesome! In addition, every one of our 50 guests loved their time at the resort. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have, but again....do not second guess your decision to have your wedding at EDR. Bryan and Amy
  3. Hello to everyone! My fiance and I are getting married at El Dorado Royale next March. So far we've chosen our locations for a Friday cocktail party for all guests, a ceremony location, and a private reception location. We're starting to get nervous that we haven't done more, but I just emailed Valeria our coordinator. Does anyone have any advice or timelines from this far out? I'd love to hear from any of you...your blogs have been so helpful to read so far! Thanks....Amy : )
  4. Has anyone had a reception with over 60 people? Running into issues about locations for over this amount!
  5. Just booked for March 14th 2009, going to be looking for some feedback over the next couple of months!
  6. Does anyone have any wedding pics from this resort? Also, if anyone has had any experiences here.
  7. so basically anything over 50 you are forced to have a private event? I'm trying to get a gauge for the $$$ that i will spend prior to booking. Thanks for all the feedback.
  8. Shannon/Millie, Any idea if they roll the "free" reception into a private reception? I believe we are going to have more then the 40 person max for the free dinner.
  9. Thanks shannon, definitely helps...what are your plans for the wedding reception?
  10. Have yet to book, looking for some feedback on everyones experiences?
  11. Have yet to book yet, but trying to get some feedback on everyones recent wedding experiences at EDR.
