Yea....now that's where the ~problem~ comes in....getting an e-mail BACK from Damarys!! I still am not 100% sure we even have our date secure yet because of the lack of response back!! I have at least 4 e-mails into her in the last month, & still no reply!! In the e-mails & want to make sure we have our date, so I can wire her the $299 deposit...I'm not gonna wire the money if our date has been taken!! Good Luck!!

Thanks for all the useful information ladies!! My son is getting married there Nov. 1st....well I hope so anyways...Damarys still hasn't gotten back to me to confirm that even tho I've been corresponding with her since Jan.!! We only have 17 people coming, so we are going with the Eternity package with NO extra's. Any extra's we will need, will be from the local Wal-mart!! Their extra's cost too much! I have the same feeling about the size of the resort...but the price we paid over ruled the size! And with the couple having to ~vacation/honeymoon~ with everyone else, I think the size will come in handy!! I have read a couple other wedding stories that took place at this resort & they have all said it was amazing for them.....I am hopeing that the dazzle of the day didn't cloud their judgment!! I am still confident that it will be a great day for the happy couple! Heck, if it doesn't turn out, they are planning on getting married up here 1st anyways, so at least they will be married already & we won't be coming home with an um-married couple!!

We are going to Cancun for our son's wedding & I looked up our flights on AA & found they changed our flights also....Funjet didn't even know about it yet!! I had to call the travel agent & tell her about the change. I called AA directly & changed to a different flight that would get us into Cancun at 2:30pm instead of 7pm!! It really sucks when they change our flights on us & use up a WHOLE day traveling for a 4hr. flight!! My ~dumb~ question is how come a 2 stop connection is cheaper than direct flight!!

I admire you for your idea of sharing your photographer!! Anyone got a photographer for Nov. 1, 2008 that would share?? We are staying at the Grand Riviera Princess Resort. We just really only want a few photo's....a very simple wedding ON A BUDGET!

I'm the Mom! Our son Nathan & his longtime girlfriend Juli are getting married this Nov. 1 in Riviera Maya Mexico. I'm the one that does all the research for them, so I can't wait till to hear from all of you about Mexico!! I'll have a ton of questions!
