Thank you! That really helps me a lot. Have you heard of Gazebo Fuentes? I havent heard much about it on this wedding forum, but Monica says it's one of their newer gazebos. She says it's just as private as the Presidential Gazebo, but I am nervous about it. The one thing I do not want is to have a ton of people in bathing suites standing around watching, ya know?

Tracy and Chris Also, I had another question for you.. How much time did you allow between your ceremony and your reception to take pictures? I am afraid I will miss out on part of my reception because the ceremony starts at 6:00 and the reception starts at 7:00. What do you think?

You are welcome to come by and take a peek! What gazebo did you pick? Can you believe how soon it will be here?! I am so excited! It seems like I've been planning for this forever and now it's right around the corner. I am getting married on Saturday (26th) at 6:00 in the Gazebo Fuentes. I will definitely come by and take a peek at your wedding. I am sure I will see you around the resort, how long will you be there? It's pretty easy to spot me, I am 6'1 with blonde hair and Gavin (future husband) has a couple of tatoos. How would I recognize you other than obviously coming to your wedding? Lindsey

  7. I just confirmed my wedding date! July 26, 2008 I am still deciding on the details. Does anyone have pictures or information on the reception sites? Thank You!
  8. I am using destiantionwedding.com TA too, she's doing a great job for me. I wanted to ask other EDR brides, do you have anyone in your party under 18? I have one cousin that will be a month shy of her 18th birthday for my wedding. Any suggestions on how to get around this?
  9. I am panicing because I am suppose to get married at EDR on July 26th, I just realized my cousin that's one of my bridesmaids is under 18! She turns 18 on August 29th, but they have a rule that you cant enter the resort unless you're 18. Does anyone know a way around this? Has anyone else had a minor in the EDR?
  10. Thank you all so much for your stories, opinions, and tips. I am curious if any of you are/did consider the El Dorado Royale? If so, why did you choose Dreams?
  11. Thank you all for the very warm welcome! I have learned so much using this website! You guys are amazing and so supportive of each other, I love it! I do have a few questions for you guys that are planning on getting married at Dreams Tulum or if you already have... ~Did you use the resort photographer or are you planning on it? ~Did you have a private reception? is it worth spending extra $ on? ~Did you stay in the honeymoon suite or a regular room? is it worth the extra $ for the honeymoon suite? ~Did you/are you planning on getting married on the beach or in the chapel? ~If you have gotten married there already and you were married on the beach is it right infront of everyone at the resort or semi-private? Can you request it semi-private? maybe move it down the beach a little? Thanks again for everything and all of your help! Lindsey
  12. I am also going to get married at the Dreams in Tulum and we are on a budget, but photography is very important to us. My future husband is a photographer What we plan on doing is using the photographer at the resort and then buying the CD of pictures. My (soon to be) husband will be able to "retouch" them, like a professional would. Maybe a more cost effective approach (if cost is important) is to just hire someone afterwards to do the "retouch" work. All this means is that they will take the raw picture and add the nice effects that we all like...black and white with the color of the flowers, etc. I hope this helps. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you. You could even hire my (future husband) for this. He's a professional photographer and would charge a fraction of the cost!
