  1. I got around 300 pics from Citlalli Rico from claudiaphoto.com on a CD, but I am sure she took more than that. I think they only present you with the best pics. They didn't offer to let me choose the pics or have ALL of the pics and I didn't ask. To tell you the truth, my mind was so busy that day I really didnt' think of it. I got an album of 180 4x6 pics, and enlargements of 6 or 7 8x10 and 15 5x7 which Citlalli picked out. If I were to do it again, I would ask her to give me all the pictures rather it's good or not. I would also extend the video and have the first dance, cake cutting and Best Man speach on it. My husband did a wonderful and very funny slideshow for our wedding and that made everyone laugh. We also did a slideshow of all our guest and the good times we had with them. So I would highly recommend doing that and renting the projector from Dreams for $200. As to the centerpieces I also thought the flower ones were sort of costly so I did 3 glass containers in the center of the table filled with sand, shells, and water. On top I put flower floating candles of our wedding color. I sprinkled blue seaglass and shells all over the talbe to give it some color. I ended up spending around $25 or $30 for each table. I had a floral centerpiece on my table and the cake table and used my bridesmaid bouquets to decorate the guestbook sign in table.
  2. I actually bought down the centerpieces. I spend a day during my site visit in December to go buy vases/ glass containers and candles from Walmart and I got some shells from Market 28 at Cancun downtown. I had Claudia hold it for me until my wedding. She was being super nice about it. She was the one who told me to ge the sparklers since I wouldn't be able to transport those on the plane and they only had it for sale during X-mas time. I had a really good experience with Citlalli. Only wished I had more pics. I think she took around 1000 but only presented me with the best on a CD of 300 pics.
  3. I was in Dreams from 5/26/07-5/31/07, 5 nights for around $1000/person with air from JFK. I believe Jetblue has some good prices for direct flights to Cancun.
  4. aahhhhhhhh........don't worry about all these stuff......a stressed out bride won't be pretty. My husband's brother and family couldn't come to our wedding because they didn't get their passport too. When they first go to renew it, the postman said 10 weeks, after 11 weeeks and one week before my wedding they told me they still haven't rec'd it yet. Well, I told them to go to the passport office and show them the air tickets, but they didn't and the passports didn't come in time. I had to cancel all 4 air tickets and paid for the condo I rented for them in full 2 days before the wedding. Not to mention I got their daughter a flower girl dress and a basket of flower petals. By the time I was in Cancun, I didn't let anything bother me. During the ceremony, it drizzle on and off which made taking pictures difficult but I just let everything go and center my attention to my husband and how great it is after more than 11 years together, I love him more now than when we first started. hehehehhehehe
  5. Here's the pics I stored on words, hope this works......oh, by the way the photographer is Citlalli Rico, part of Claudia Rodriguez's team. She's wonderful to work with and she knows a lot of the people in Dreams. Make up and hair was done in Dreams by Alberto, who did a wonderful job of making me look natural. I just tried attaching the doc and keep on getting this message: Database error The Best Destination Wedding Forum database has encountered a problem. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser. 6. Jilly, this is the rose I got. Is this what you want? I really didn't have anything in mind, just something in a dark shade of pink/ orange/ or reddish sort of like b-39 on the bouquet doc Claudia sent me..... The flowers there are very expensive. My bridesmaid bouquet I think cost $50 or $55 and it's very small. All in all on that day, I was on a high so I didn't care if the weather wasn't good or any kind of mishaps. here's what Claudia got me. Doc17.doc
  7. Hi girls, I just got my professional pics back and they are gorgeous. I love them. I am sort of unsure on how to post maybe 20 of my favorites. Do I just attached all the pics like before? I have it in snapfish right now.
  8. Thanks everyone, especially Jilly for moving it to a new thread. My dress was actually from JCrew. I bought it on sale for $150 and had the tailor add in the band for the waist and hem it for me for $70. It was very comfortable and easy to move around in since it doesn't have a train and only has two thin layers under the satin/silk main fabric. The book I had on the table is made from mypublisher.com with pics of all our guests that we had on our computer. Some of the pics are of us and our guest back 10 yrs ago, so it was really nice to see the old pics. The guests write their messages on it for us. Under the book, I have a glass picture frame for the guests to just sign their name. And the guests wrote little messages, advices, etc (Kiss Often,, Don't sleep angry, Always Share, Be Honest) on the big white seashells for us. And if anyone has questions, just PM me.

  10. Cool, I did it! Here are some more pics. My professionals wouldn't come in until a couple of weeks later.......
  11. Hi, It's Hang. Since I don't really know how to start a thread and is pretty computer dumb, I am going to tag along on Amy's thread. Sorrie..... I had my wedding in Cancun on May 29, 2007. Stayed there from 5/26-5/31 and moved to the JW Marriott from 5/31-6/3. I had my consultation with Claudia on 5/27 and it was super easy to set up everything with her. I packed my own centerpieces and decorations. I finalize everything there including the flowers, reception food, spa treatments, etc. I did a candy buffet, a sign in table with a photobook with the guests pics with us and some large shells where they wrote down advices for us in marriage (Always kiss Goodnight, No Yelling, Be Patient, Remember this day's love always, etc) I am going to try to post some pics now
  12. Thanks for the reply. I did call Claudia last Weds, and left her a message. But no return call as of today. I will be flying out on this Sat, so I hope everything will run smoothly. I am sure it will tough. I have met Claudia and she's very nice and accomondating.
  13. Do you need the ring appraised of the value? Do you just walk into any jewelry store and they will get it appraise for you?
