Has anyone rented a private villa in cancun/PDC/tulum for their wedding reception? My FI is big on this idea, but I think it sounds like a lot more work/stress than having our wedding at a resort - just curious about others experiences...thanks!

My FI also wanted to rent a villa because privacy was really important to him but we didn't end up doing it. I think the main reason was that we are having about 100 people and we were worried about the logistics of it. However, during our search we found a great place call Sol y Luna Villa Sol y Luna. You should check it out if you decide you really do want to rent a villa.

Nope, we are having our wedding at a resort... but locogringo has a nice interactive map which shows condos/villas which are for rent. Perhaps you could look their to find what you are looking for.

Here's a video I shot at Villa Sol y Luna. It's really a great place for a wedding, one of my favorites. Having the whole place to yourself to do things on your schedule is something you just don't get at a resort.

thanks for the link to the video...the villa looks great, but I'm concerned it'd be a trek for guests from whatever hotel/resort they'll be staying at...

Off topic, but did you also shoot the video at Cannon House?

I've never stayed here but a friend of mine has recommended it:

              The place looks stunning!

Just wondering what your impression was of Cannon House. The info and photos I've found online so far aren't very descriptive...
