Bridesmaid Dresses - Help!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!

I am really struggling to find bridesmaid dresses. My ideal look would be a pretty coral dress, likely sleeveless or small straps, knee length or just above the knee, likely light and flowy. I am open to other colours but it must be a brighter colour. I love how the brighter colours pop on the beach. I don't want my girls spending a ton, hence why I'm likely having a hard time finding anything.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! :)

Well obviously David's Bridal for bridesmaids dresses is a popular option, but it can get pricey.

Have you considered a convertible dress, so that each bridesmaid can wear the same color but style it in a way that is most comfortable for their own body type, etc?

My sister in-law used this Etsy shop for her bridesmaids dresses and they were beautiful and super affordable! Plus you can order the color you want :) And yes, they do have a beautiful coral color that would look amazing on the beach.

Here's the link to her shop on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/thedaintyard?ref=pr_faveshops

Hope that helps!!!  ;)

The link that @@MarieSamSanchezPhoto is great.  I didn't end up buying from them but the customer service was great and I got a sample of 6 colours to see how the fabric was like.  The seller can do a customization so that each bridesmaid can pay for their own. I think the price for each dress is about $70 and shipping is from Singapore so about $30CAD.  I don't know the cost for shipping in bulk.

Hi @ heatherd26!

We do beach weddings on a private beach location so this tends to call for a relaxed environment. A trend we’ve seen a lot lately (and we think it helps bridesmaids feel  more comfortable) is for the bride to just tell her bridesmaids the palette she is looking for, and allow each of the girls to get their own dress according to their style and the color of their preference. This way you are giving them freedom to go for what they will like to wear the most (and we think it also looks great in the pictures).

A twist of that is providing the girls with 2 or 3 different dress styles in the same colors so they can choose what style works best for them (for instance to each of them to choose they favorite neckline).

Here are a few pictures of lovely bridesmaid’s dresses we’ve had, that are comfortable for beach weddings:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
