Hi everybody! I'm a 2017 bride, but I already start making preparations for my wedding. I plan a destination wedding but still have no idea about the wedding venue. Anyone has some great ideas? I also would like to know your budget and wedding theme! xx~

What are you looking for in a wedding venue? Do you want something that has a nice beach? Do you want to have an all inclusive resort? What country/region do you want?

Making a list of what you want and don't want helps.  I had a list and then did my research and also went and did site-inspections/ youtube video tours in the Riviera Maya area in Mexico which helped me figure out where to book my wedding.

@@GloriaEvans Westin Playa Conchal in Costa Rica.

We knew we wanted an all inclusive. So that played a key roll. We looked into Mexico and DR but ultimately decided against it for a number of reasons. A lot of our friends were actually super excited about CR because most of them have never been there before.

@GloriaEvans

Congratulations on your engagement!! This is a great moment to be looking for your location for the big day in 2017. We are a secluted beach location at the south bay of Puerto Vallarta, known for creating great wedding experiences on a unique place that combines the beautiful clearwater sea and lots of vegetation from the Sierra Madre mountains; all in a romantic candle light setting. We're getting married at Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Originally our theme was going to be travel but I have since decided not to have a theme, I figure being in Jamaica in general is good enough. Budget is $15,000.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
