Last Anniversary Before Saying I Do

Hi Ladies,

I've left it a bit late... too much going on.

Our 4 year dating anniversary is tomorrow (Sept 1st) and it's our last anniversary before we are married  :)

We're going to go for dinner in a couple of weeks when our schedules clear up a bit but I'd like to do a little something for him on the day.  Did anyone do anything special or have any ideas on something last minute I can do?  He works the late shift and won't be home until around 8.30pm tomorrow - so maybe make a dessert and have some candles around or something?  Something nice for him to come home to?  eeee HELP!

@@deecol, I know it's one day early but happy 4 year anniversary!! That's so sweet that you want to plan something special. Since it may be too late for dinner, dessert is a great idea. Do you bake? Maybe make him his favourite dessert? Or how about champagne and chocolate covered strawberries? I know you're trying to limit alcohol consumption but your anniversary doesn't count

@@Wafflesmom Thank you :)

That's a great idea.  I'm a horrible baker unfortunately... on our first anniversary I tried to make 3 basic sugar cookies in the shape of "I <3 U" and they spread all over the sheet into one giant mess lol it was a disaster.

The strawberries with chocolate sound like a great idea!  And semi-healthy lol.  You're right, champagne on our anniversary doesn't count :)  thanks for the idea!

A little whipped cream to dip would be..... nice too!! Oh and Godiva makes scrumptious chocolate covered strawberries, fresh every day! Both white and dark. Delice!!

@@deecol congrats on your anniversary,  hmm love all the ideas.  you could also add some cute note for him to find in his lunch /dinner at work.

or a 30 min relaxing massage that you could give him at home, once he is back from work. then the strawberry dipped in choc and champagne . candle light.

Happy Anniversary ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
