Bachlorette Party

Recommended Posts

Just spent the weekend with some exciting people. My BMs planned an awesome bachelorette weekend in Atlantic city (it's an early celebration because my MOH is pregnant). So many people came out to celebrate and it made me so happy. They booked a room, we went to the beach bar, dinner plans were amazing and I especially enjoyed the karaoke lounge. It was a night to remember and exactly what I imagined (although they kept telling me there was going to be strippers, thank goodness there were none lol)!

Has anyone had a great bachelorette party? What was/ is your worst fear? And what were the plans?

My sister/Maid of honor is throwing me a bachelorette party next saturday.  She hasn't given me a lot details of what to expect but I know her and there will be strippers...lol I'm not really into that but I think its funny, I'll just be hiding in the corner while the other girls have fun!  Its going to be crazy I bet.  :P

Your bach weekend sounds like fun.  Its awesome they planned such a great weekend for you.  I wanted to go away for the night but its just too much to ask of my girls on top of going all the way to Cancun.  You have some good friends!!

That sounds like the perfect weekend!  I won't be having one till next spring, I feel bad about asking people to spend money on a bachelorette party when they are already spending money for the wedding.  But on the other hand I have been to everyone bachelorette party, bridal shower, baby showers, weddings and many kids birthday parties for the past 10+ years, I shouldn't feel too bad....

@@Sabes44 Yup that's how I felt too about having a bridal shower and bachelorette party.  Then my sister reminded me that I've been to everyones events in the last couple of years.  My 3 sisters have had baby showers all in the last 3 years so I've been planning baby showers back to back with no complaint.  Then the birthdays and baptisms for all 3 nephews I'm always helping and involved.  My sisters were happy to throw me a shower and now to throw me a bachelorette party its just part of the wedding fun!! I of course would have been happy if we didn't do them too but i'm lucky they wanted to do it for me.

I agree, we are lucky to have friends and family want to do this for us.  I just don't want to take advantage of anyone, despite all the time and money I have spent on them!

my girls wanted to host something but I told them no! I don't want anyone spending anything aside from attending the wedding- so no bachelorette party or shower for me! I'm a second chance bride so I don't feel like I missed out since I got both at my first wedding a decade ago, this time I'm fine not celebrating until we reach our all inclusive the week of our wedding! We do plan on taking off as a group of girls and enjoying the disco one night while the guys enjoy the sports bar- but that's it!

I told everyone I was happy to not have either of these, and just do a girls night out while in destination, but they are insisting. I just don't want people to go to so much trouble for me when they are already coming so far to celebrate with us!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
