Which Cabo Resort Has It All?

Recommended Posts

The wife and I are planning our wedding for Mexico - around November or December of this year.
Initially we were thinking Cabo San Lucas but we've been stalking Trip Advisor reviews and have found problems with lots of different resorts. We might be thinking Puerto Vallarta instead but our guests would probably feel more comfortable with Cabo since we've already been?

If you had to choose - which venue would you suggest, especially for those who have already hosted their wedding at one of these venues? We want to try and purchase in the next couple weeks. We're trying to keep our budget for;

VENUE
CAKE
FLOWERS
MUSIC
COCKTAIL HOUR
DINNER
CEREMONY
RECEPTION
FOOD/BEV
and a block of rooms for around 6-10K.
We're trying to keep in mind the cost of flights, photography, wedding gown / suit and invitations.

We have about 40 people and we want a decent hotel with good food because our guests most likely wont be leaving the resort - WE ARE NOT FANS OF all-inclusive resort packages because we're seeing that usually means cheap slushy watery drinks with cheap booze and bad food.

1. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Los Cabos:
2. Dreams Los Cabos:
3. Casa Dorada Cabo San Lucas:
4. Hilton Los Cabos:
5. Hotel Hyatt Ziva, formerly Barcelo Los Cabos:
6. Melia Los Cabos:
7. Esperanza:

Please Obi-Wan Kenobi's of Weddings - help me you're my only hope.

Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
