Maggie Sottero Caprice - size 8

Recommended Posts

I have a huge dilemma...

In August I purchased THE DRESS -- Maggie Sottero Caprice.

My dress was supposed to come in the first week of January. On January 6 I found out that the dress shop never ordered my dress and also went out of business in December, without contacting their brides. Because they take 16-18 weeks to come in and my wedding is May 5, there was no time to re-order for it to make it here in time, even rush order would be pushing it too close for alterations that will be required. I've tried on a few similar dresses but everybody that has seen the pictures of all 3 (the original and the 2 replacement options) have agreed with me that the Caprice is THE DRESS.

So if anyone is wanting to sell their Maggie Sottero Caprice, I would like ivory and a size 8. I know this is a crazy long shot but I'm desperate to do anything I can to get my dress...

There's one on ebay - the description is below: item number 180813834624

Size 8- dress has been altered, Hips - 37, waist- 34- bust 34, length- I'm 5"3', wore 4 inch heels and the dress came down to the ground.
Description-One-piece, slim line gown with scoop neckline and zipper closure. This sexy style boasts stunning beaded shoulder straps with Swarovski crystals that create a magnificent bar-back design feature. Gossamer Chiffon is gently ruched asymmetrically around the waist and gathered at the back of the gown to create an alluring train.

I bought the dress August 2010, only worn once. I have the dress authenticity certificate you'll be getting when you purchase the dress. It needs to be dry cleaned. I bought the dress for $899, paid $200 for alteration.

Type in maggie soterro caprice in google to see a picture of the dress.

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
