The new Paradisus Playa del Carmen (La Perla and La Esmeralda)

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Does anyone know anything about the Jewish Pesach Passover?  Apparently La Perla is hosting the Jewish celebrations in March/April (sorry I can't remember the exact dates, but you can Google it for dates.

They bring in their own chefs apparently for their specialist food and basically take over the hotel according to Trip Advisor.  I am seriously worried as the Pesach Passover dates for 2014 coincide with our wedding and honeymoon!!

Any comments welcome as I'm worried sick now.

Many Thanks

Sharon

Playa is not too bad, but the Paradisus has the mangroves that I heard can attract them.  Hmmph.  I'll keep my fingers crossed :)  Thanks!

Thanks!

Hi, My wedding is may 10, 2013 so it's fast approaching! Just trying to wrap up some final details. This maybe a stupid question but is the bride responsible for printing up the dinner cards ( which are placed on each plate during reception) or does the resort do this? Just trying to order all the stationary I will need now

I'm not sure about that.  I did ask if they could fold the napkins into pockets to hold the dinner cards (which they said they could) instead of using napkin rings.  It never occurred to me to ask about the printing.  I think best to ask the resort.  Let me know what they say! :)

Hi Ladies!  Wondering if you can help.  My colors I settled on are a light, light peach, gold and ivory.  I would like the bridesmaid dresses to be this light peach, but I haven't come across any designers that have this color.  I am stumped!  I see blush pink everywhere, but not peach.  I was thinking when spring 13 came out that would help. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hey ladybugg! I actually have all the resort's standard package info, menus etc but do you happen to have info from their recommended vendors for DJ, florists & photography?? That's what I really need help with Sorry I haven't been on in a while!! So I don't have any of that but what I do know is that they use Alquimia Events for decor etc and that I just have the charges they give you for DJs etc - Alquimia is the one who deals with florists for you and hotel photography is contracted with BlueLens Caribe! Hope that helps!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
