Aww thank you Poohshek, our website is still a work in progress ~ but right now I'm being lazy, hehehe blush2.gif

Our families are actually renting a villa (more like a compound) property that will house 31 of us for the first week ~ the Casa Romero compound on Yal Ku Lagoon in Akumal. But it's solely so we can be together and it will also be the site of our Welcome Dinner/Fiesta! cheers.gif

Weddingwise, we are having our ceremony and reception at Akumal's CEA Center ~ here's my post with all the info cheesy.gif http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31355

  • 4 weeks later...

We had lunch at Pasteleteria and also tried out 3 of their cakes. Food is delicious and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

1. Tres Leches - The best we have ever had and this will be our wedding cake!!!

2. The chocolate "BOMB" - My fiance wants this too besides the Tres Leches cake. It is very good. I am not a big chocolate cake fan but I will consider order this too.

3. The very chocolate cake - Very rich and definitely a hit for chocolate lovers!

I took pictures of the cake and I can forward them if you are interested. Bon appetit!

I have emailed Jennifer from Turtle Bay to enquire about getting cupcakes at the Dreams Tulum. I was told prices start from $4/person and it would cost $50 to deliver to Dream Tulum. I am also going to check out Pasteleteria that others have discussed in this thread. It sounds like the cupcakes from Turtle Bay are pretty yummy so that's good to hear!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
