She's great, I agree with you.

Both are good. Odette is newer, and not as aggressive. Priscilla takes charge and is all about making sure things go smoothly and you are happy!
Brig... does everyone get either one or the other? Or will we work with both? Thanks!

We met with both at our initial meeting... On the wedding day, both were very involved in making sure things went smoothly... They work very closely together, so at least in our case, we worked with both of them interchangably.

They were also hiring/training someone new. Odette said that they weren't able to take time off right now, with only the two of them, so that they were bringing someone else on board to take a little of the stress off.

I would imagine that the new person has started by now...

  • 2 weeks later...

It is an outdoor bar- the one with swings. I would suggest that one, or the Beach Bar which is centrally located next to Jo Jo's. Guacamayas is the bar to go to at night because they have the live music and the shows! I guess it would maybe depend on your ceremony location?

I read somewhere on here, and I know I'll never find it again, but a bride posted that they were having a private reception without food, just drinks/cocktails and maybe a cake. I don't know that I've found this option yet? Can you do a non-food option for a private event? How much does that cost?

What we did was the cocktail party with appetizers, and I think it was 14.00 per person. We alos had "pinto" the donkey, and he was 150.00, and then rented speakers for our ipod which was 250.00.
I am sure you can have a private event without the apps.... the portions of food are really small at the resort, so we thought they would be a good idea.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
