As what Shannon said, it doesn't make it any cheaper to put 3 in a room. You still have to pay all of that money and then share a bed with someone. Two of my girlfriends made a deal that they would room together and then if one gets a boyfriend before the wedding she would have to give the other the $400 they charge extra for a single room. Would you believe my friend Angela found a boyfriend, moved in with him, and are now looking for engagement rings in less than 4 months! Needless to say she forked over $400 to my friend Amy but couldn't care less since she's in loooove :).

Im sorry, but I am still confused about something.

When I got my draft of choices on a spreadsheet from Valeria, for the reception she wrote "how many" of each, next to my meal choices.

So, Do people have to decide before coming which of the two menu items they will eat?

When do I pay for all of it, at the beginning or end of the stay at the hotel?

Thanks!

We didn't choose ahead of time. Everyone picked after we sat down for dinner. But, things could have changed. I know it's a shocker: "EDR changes their policy!" Wouldn't be the first time we've ever heard that, if it's the case.

To clarify this a bit, Mandy did have to choose which 2 entrees were to be served, but didn't have to say how many of each. The night of the wedding dinner there was a menu and the guests chose which of the two pre-selected entrees they wanted. Is your dinner the "free" one or are you talking about a private dinner? It might be handled differently with the private dinner.

Regarding paying, everything had to be paid for 30 days before the wedding.

I have a question for past EDR brides about the videographer. We are getting married at Azul Sensatori. We are already paying to bring our photographer in and were thinking about using the resort videographer. Does anyone have any feedback on their work? We want something that will show the highlights with maybe some small details of the wedding and resort. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Yes, we will be there at the same time! We are getting married at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday the 24th at the Presidential Gazebo. You are welcome to come by and take a peek! What gazebo did you pick? Can you believe how soon it will be here?!

I had an outside photographer and didn't have them do the video. My brother in law video taped the ceremony & reception. Then my friend edited it and put music in it and it turned out great. This way we have long version of everything and a shorten version which was edited. I didn't hear anything good about the photographer on site at EDR so I don't know if they use different ones at Azul or not. I don't know about the videographer though. Sorry, not too many brides went with the resort when I was planning for May 08.

I am so excited! It seems like I've been planning for this forever and now it's right around the corner. I am getting married on Saturday (26th) at 6:00 in the Gazebo Fuentes. I will definitely come by and take a peek at your wedding. I am sure I will see you around the resort, how long will you be there? It's pretty easy to spot me, I am 6'1 with blonde hair and Gavin (future husband) has a couple of tatoos. How would I recognize you other than obviously coming to your wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
