Keep in mind for the cupcakes you need a minimum order. I believe they were $8 each? At first we were going to just get two so we could just do the cake feeding with us, but then found out you had to order a minimum.

That is good to know!  Do you know what the minimum was?  i am guessing we will only need to order 25 but that is $200.... hmmm

Thanks for the info!

So far we only have 12 confirmed guests, so very small and won't need a lot of walking down the aisle music but I don't even know what to use for that.

Thoughts, previous experiences, music used.....anything you have to offer I will take it!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Our WC provided us a breakdown of the ceremony, and what music people would need. I'm sure I still have it somewhere, or maybe it's something your WC could provide.

I was told: Flavors available are vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. I´m really sorry, I didn´t mentioned that we need to require minimum of 16 cupcakes. One option could be a petite wedding cake for $35 usd.

That's why we chose the petite cake. We can still do the cake "cutting" and our guests will all have delicious dessert with their dinner with the cheesecake :)

They were $4.50 each for chocolate, vanilla or strawberry, all with cream cheese frosting. You do have to have a minimum - I think it was 24, but don't remember exactly.

Just FYI on the cakes - you can "buy up" to a red velvet, carrot, or 1 other flavor that I can't remember. I assume they'd be available in those flavors for the cupcakes too. You just may need to push a little.

Chris - I'm so glad my posts are helping you!!! that was my whole intent.

I think Lomas/Valeria can help you set up a catamaran trip - we did one through them with Marina Maroma, you'd have to ask about the rum punch though. we got water...and that was it!

Allie... I've read through EVERYTHING you've posted and it was so helpful- thank you so much. Your wedding was beautiful and I'm glad it was everything you imagined.

All along though I've wanted to take the bridal party on one of those snorkeling/rum punch catamaran sailing excursions though as their present... anyone know of anything like that we coudl coordinate?

I can't believe so many of you ladies I started out on here talking to are all done and married- congrats to you all. I can't WAIT for my turn!! xo

Chris

Gale,

It's a wedding, you're allowed to be obsessive and crazy about it! lol Here's what I'd recommend for music playlists along with what we did:

Guest seating - 2 songs - (Iz's mix of Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World, and Going to the Chapel by the Dixie Cups)

Bridal party - 2-4 songs (depending on how big your bridal party is, if any) (none for us)

Groom walk - 1 song (we didn't have one)

Bride walk - 1 song (Silverstring Quartet's Just the Way You are - instrumental of Bruno Mars' song)

Recessional - 1 song (Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Stevie Wonder)

I would pick your songs, and create playlists on a separate iPod with just those 5 playlists.

Our WC didn't tell us we could have a separate groom-walk song, so I didn't have one for him. OOPS! And we didn't have a bridal party, so we seated the mothers to the guest seating songs - fortunately they were pretty long. I have all of these songs as mp3 files, and can email them if you want.

Those of you wondering about bugs... I have a few bites on me but no idea where or when I got them, haven't seen Mosquitos and gave but itched at all but something here bites.
If anyone has any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer though it may take me a couple of days to get back on here as the next two are going to be crazy busy :-)
Here are some pics I've taken

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
