I have heard there are two men that help once we get to the resort and I would hate to bring a bath and body works gift bag for them!
I am unclear too about the tipping. I guess I should find out soon since we only have about 2 months left. If I need gifts for them & how many or money for tipping instead. May have to find some brides that already got married there to find out what they did.

Here's what Valeria wrote to me: "As you know I work at the company headquarters in Cancun, so I won't have the pleasure to meet you personally, but my on site weddings staff will take great care of you, promised!"

Since we don't see our off-site wedding coordinators (Monica in my case), I was just going to mail a nice hand written thank you note.

What about tipping staff for private mexican party and the other coordinators that help with the ceremony? What is everyone thinking about a tip or gift?

Hello

I have just had an email from my w/c at EDR to say that the chairs for the ceremony with the blue sash cost $13usd per chair, previously I was quoted $7usd, which is far more reasonable!

Can anyone help with prices that you have been quoted, I just am practically crying thinking of spending over $416 for 30 mins use that I then have to pay all over again for my dinner at Tucanes, surely the w/c has made a mistake?

Im sorry to ramble on, I was just taken aback!!

I thought the chairs without covers were $7 but the chairs with covers and bows were $13. With that said, if you have in writing (email) that they quoted you $7 for chairs with bows, then maybe you would have some leverage.

Speaking of ceremony's, can everyone please tell me what you are doing for your ceremony as far as decorations if you are having a beach ceremony?

1. Are you doing the hanging corsages?
2. Are you doing chair covers and bows (what color bows)?
3. Are you having a runner?
4. What color runner?
5. Are you doing rose petals?
6. Any other decorations (ie fans?)
7. What bouquet choices are you doing if doing it from the lomas site?
8. Any unique elements (ie sand ceremony, songs, readings, etc.)

I know some of you have mentioned this throughout this thread, but I am making some of these decisions right now and would like to see what others are doing. Any recent EDR brides have any suggestions as to what they would and wouldn't do again for the ceremony locations and decorations?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
