El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey Chiquita! It's such an accomplished feeling knowing that you aren't relying on anyone. My FI and I are doing this 100% on our own and it feels great! All my friends that have gotten married have had these lavish $40K weddings that daddy paid for and it baffles the crap out of me! Yes our wedding is very small and the costs are waaay low but I can honestly say it will probably so much prettier than all the others I've been to (hoping the weather keeps.)   Way to go for doing it by yourself! [/quot It is very rewarding, we did the same thing. I wouldn't change it for the world, we had the best time on are wedding day, who gets to swim and relax on there day, with your closet family and friends. You will really enjoy yourselfs, everything went perfect for us and who doesn't love the beach. We had so many compliments on everything and how fun it was. This is the way to!!!! :)

If you can picture this....I'm thinking for the longer part of the aisle having some closely placed dowels, closer than those in the picture, and then maybe something like the shepherd hooks along the seats, with flower petals lining the bases and a colored runner down the center.  I was also considering something like this for my chairs...

-so what I want to know is if you all think the ribbons fluttering around might be too much and/or distracting... or if you think they'll be delicate and beautiful.  I've never seen anything like it before, has anyone else?  Also, I had been thinking bubbles going down the aisle at the end, but does that work with the ribbons?  again, too much?... I have a tendency to go over the top sometimes... and I keep trying to tell myself less is more... not sure if it would apply here or not.. what do you all think?

I love the simple streamers for the walkway. I think that will look beautiful in the wind and add a great accent. I think the streamers on the chair are a little much (but that's my opinion).

Great pics Nikki! I especially like the ring shot too. Jnitschke- I agree with Stina. The aisle ribbons are awesome but the chair ones are a little much. Are you shipping your decorations there? I was told by Natalia that if I shipped my stuff they would charge me a $150-$250 pick up fee. Yeah no thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
