Bride & Groom Only!

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone who is having a wedding with just the bride and groom, NO GUEST? Maybe its just stress but I am seriously considering just having a private ceremony on the beach with out the guest. Im getting tired of worrying about who can afford to attend and who cant. I want three bridesmaids but my fiance's friends cant afford to go so that means I have no one to escort my bridesmaids. Its just all beginning to be too much.

Well, we are doing it that way and it was the best decision we've made! Like you, I was worrying too much about who would be able to afford to go, who we would invite, how we were going to pay for it all, etc. Now, there's no stress! Our loved ones weren't too keen on the idea at first, but once we told them we were having a celebration when we get back they were all gung ho! I say do what's right for you and FI, and everything else will fall into place.

My neighbours got married two years ago in Mexcio just the two of them... They had tons of friends that could probably have gone and family.... Their issues was the brides mother and the father were in a bitter divorce that had dragged on for a number of years. She just couldn't got there with either of them. They came back married didn't tell a sole until they returned. They both have said it was the most incrediable time of their lives. It'll be you big day no matter how small it is.

  • 1 year later...

I am thinking of doing a destination weddng in playa area with just the two of us.  it has been so stressful trying to figure out how to plan a large wedding, and it really is just about the two of us.  i think it will be really nice and intimate.  i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for resorts/hotels for this type of wedding?  Most of the packages I see are geared towards weddings with guests.  just curious.  Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
