I used to work for Customs in Chicago and would run into passports that had outdated pictures all the time. No biggie...just make sure you have another form of ID to present if requested. The only time I requested another ID though was if it was a MAJOR change in the person like plastic surgery of something. I've seen some crazy stuff. lol

LOL Amarillis!! Thats so funny cause Joes 3 older siblings are half Thai and definitely look it. One of his brothers lived in Thailand through the school year and would come home for the summer but he has long hair and he often grows out his beard and he really looks like al quaeda, no joke!!!!!! So we are always waiting on him through customs, especially since hes a big paintball guy and he takes paintball guns and such.

And now our wedding is in 2.5 weeks and he's grown out his beard again!

I went to Taiwan last year and my passport was short, mousy brown hair and on our trip it was long and bleached....I don't think they even looked.

Amarillis lol!!

My bright idea 3 weeks before the wedding huh. lol Well with highlights to be put it next week I can relax a bit. I was just worried because I do it once in awhile, but it never occured to me that my driver's license was blonde too. That's when i panicked.

One of those spare of the moment sounds good things.

I can't believe this thread is for real. I can't believe I'm even posting to this thread. Seriouslyhuh.gif I can't believe anyone would think that a change of hair color would be so detrimental. This is hillarious!

My son's passport pic is of him when he was 2 years old. By the time it expires I seriously don't think customs is going to care that he looks different.

Get back to wedding planning ladies and quit sweating the non important stuff!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Not only has my color changed in both color and length, but my weight has also fluctuated, both up and down; and I've never had a hard time traveling with my passport. And I agree with what Celina said as well - my son got his passport almost 4 years ago and he obviously looks much different now :) I don't think you'll have any problems at all.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
