I am thinking of changing resorts from a resort in Negril to the Iberostar Grand in Rose Hall. I know in Negril Margart Myrtle was the go to woman to do your wedding cake. I have yet to find any recommendations of good cake vendors for Montego Bay or Rose Hall. Who are you girls using? Have you heard of any bakers that do wedding cakes comparable to ones that we could get in the states? The resort I am looking at has a super tacky looking cake that is included but there is no way I am using that. Thanks!

Good luck, this has been my hardest vendor to pin down. I emailed the two places I found in Ochi and have yet to get a reply.

I have noticed alot of tacky cakes in the photos and would prefer something similar to what we have in the States also.

I just emailed Sheila's bakery today. I was given her number and information from the owner of Evita's restaurant.

I got an email back from Sheila's Bakery.

The prices are, 3 tier vanilla cakes $350.00US, 3 tier Jamaican fruit cakes $450.00US, 3 tier chocolate cakes $400.00US. The shells will be made from icing sugar. The cake will be delivered and set up for the same cost.

I asked for pics of cakes so we will see if I get those.

Here are the pics of my cake, provided to me by Sheila's Bakery. It is a 2-tier vanilla cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. It was $300.00...I highly recommend them!
