The mojito lounge was popular for my group as well this pass weekend BUT the DJ doesn't care about crowd enjoyment. He plays songs but isn't attentive to when he switches to songs that obviously no one likes and the dance floor clears. Lol He just continues to play whatever he wants. Guests were requesting songs and he would make those songs wait 15-20 mins although NO ONE would be dancing. Lol

 

After my reception, I spoke to management and they allowed my DJ to take over for the last two hours at Mojito. It was a BLAST!!!!!! The dance floor was PACKED until they turned the lights on and made him turn the music off.

 

Hi @@Tiffany Fox wow really? That is a fantastic idea. Do you think that is something that could be pre-arranged with the hotel earlier? As if getting our own dj to play 2 hours at Mojito lounge?

I wouldn't.... Someone in Miami isn't going to approve a local employee not working on site so that you can bring someone in! Better to try it that night and play it by ear. When we were there for our BdR the staff DJ at mojitos was awesome and would have kept the party going

I will get the trevis and keep hunting for more...anything you know PLEASE share we have until Monday to buy goodies for the welcome bags :wub:


@@carrieandsam planning to do it at the welcome party...also was thinking to welcome each guest as they come and give them the bag...it will be time consuming but I know each guest  will appreciate it (I would)

Turtle island Fiji is having a big Black Friday sale till Monday on their honeymoon packages.

Zazzle.com is just having 20% off right now for stamps, pretty weak but invitations and coffee mugs are 50-60% off.

Hi guys,

 

Do you plan on tipping your photographer?  If so, what's considered an appropriate amount? I read that 15% was standard, but not sure if it differs for destination weddings. I want to be sure I do the right thing, but at the same time, I am already paying that huge vendor fee and I'm not so certain I can afford to shell out much more.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
