Dreams Cancun Contracts.....HELP!!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok ladies...I am getting a little bit worried here, so I am hoping someone that got married at Dreams Cancun or is getting married there can help. I have attempted to have Claudia (the wc) send me some sort of contract for our wedding at the resort. She confirmed our date and time and then said she would write me at the end of Jan. with 2008 prices and contract. I have written her a couple of emails since the last week of Jan and have not recieved a response from her. She did send me an email saying that I need to send 1/2 the amount of my wedding package as a deposit by March, but with no pricing or contract attached. I am starting to get anxious about getting everything set in stone because we want to go forward with other planning but we need to know that we are set at Dreams.

How does this all work?? Should I be expecting a written contract? We've changed some of the wedding package and Claudia (wc) waived the off-site guest pass fee, so I want it in writing so there are no he said she said problems when we get there next January.

I have no idea what to expect or how this all works...so I am hoping some of you can ease my mind (or let me know how to get this ball rolling)!!!!!

Thanks so much everyone!! I love this site..it's always so helpful!

I'm so sorry that you are having a hard time with the resort....My travel agent has helped me out a lot with questions that I have had....I still haven't sent her a personal email because my TA does it, or already has the information from previous destination wedding..... If you don't already have a TA, I would strongly recomend it! My wedding is 8 months out, and my TA said that it's still a little early for her to start the planning details with me...If you need anything at all, please conctact me! (i'm getting married at Dreams Cancun also!)

Good Luck!

I wanted to add the idea again of you contacting my travel agent...she is very helpful, and doesn't cost anything extra! dAnd she actually already has a lot of this information that you are missing...She will answer so many of your questions, and i think that would really help you out..on top of being one less thing for you and your guests to worry about! If you want, PM me and I will forward you her information!!!! She has been my life saver!!!! She can normally get a reply from Claudia with in 24 hours...

YEs, she said she would waive the guest pass fee for my offsite guest (my parents and a few others have time shares down there and will be staying at them). I am expecting about 80 people. WE have a really large guest list, so I think when I asked her what she could do for me about that fee, she said she would waive it. Never hurts to ask!

I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble with this. I am getting married at Dreams Cabo and I just had my TA set the date up. I am not even thinking about contracts since my wedding is so far away so I don't know how this works. But I agree I would get a TA especially if you are having so many guests. In the long run I think a TA will help you out a lot.

I have tried to contact someone about booking our wedding and never heard back from anyone at all. I don't really know where to go or what to do so I just sent an email and never heard back. It would worry me too about sending money with nothing in writing. I am winging all of this by the advice of you girls so Im anxious to find out what you hear. Keep in touch!! Good luck to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
