Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has any info on videographers. I didn't want to go with the resort videographer but I don't know very much about outside videographers. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all,

I was just in the process of trying to get a date confirmed at the clonial resort but, got an email back stating that the WC was going to be away until the 26th. Anyone else experience this? Does anyone have a direct email? I need to start getting the invites out and can't do it with out a date.

Sorry to ask again, but any informationhuh.gif?? :

We have strawberry package:

Can any one help me out with a silly question?

We are able to have a nonlegal Interactive Blessing Ceremony?? Am I getting this lingo correct?

If so, do we have to option between a JOP or a minister?

Anyone who had this type of ceremony, do you have any suggestions at to which one to choose. We wrote our own vows.

What can you use to play your music at ceremony site??

11 days until the big day:)

Thank you so much!!!

We also took some on the small cliffs in this area. We took some around the adult pool as well, in the bali beds and such. We didn't make it down to the pier by the Colonial, but I did see some photos my photog took of another couple and they were really good. There is also a dive shop there that looked reallly good in some of the pics! I don't have my pics yet, but will post a link when they come in...
Hope this helps!
Wow thanks for the info, it gives me some great ideas!! I look forward to seeing your pics once you have them!

We are using the resort photographers and they said they would be able to take the pictures for us the next day!! YAY!

I photographed a TTD session at the Barcelo, and as mentioned above, we used the Coral area. It was at 6am, so sunrise. It was gorgeous!
After the coral area, then we walked along the beach. Got some shots by the life guard stand. Then headed to the pier.

Here is my blog post, if you'd like to get some ideas: Modern Wisconsin Wedding Photographer Faber Photography Blog Archive The Morning Sun {West Bend Wisconsin Trash the Dress Photographer}

Another awesome photographer that we meet while down there did a few trash the dress sessions in the same area, and then also around the resort. Those are pretty cool too:

i believe at the ceremony site you cannot play your own music. claudia gave us a choice of sax, guitar, flute or one more i can't remember.

interactive non-legal is done by a minister i believe. i think the jop one is only for legal, but i could be wrong. we are doing a minister.

can't wait to see you girls next week! :)

Hello you lovely ladies! I'm *pretty sure* I'm now a Barcelo Maya Palace bride! I say *pretty sure* because I haven't got rates yet (should have them tomorrow) but my date is on hold...4 pm on January 31st 2011!

Long story short, I WAS an Azul Beach bride, but we just found out a couple weeks ago that they're doing construction on the resort during my wedding stay. There was a lot of back and forth regarding construction dates, but we finally confirmed the other day that it will definitely be happening in January. So....definitely had to switch!!

I've read up on the thread but I'm sure I'll have a bajillion more questions for you fantastic Barcelo brides.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
