We were supposed to use Cecilia Dumas, but unfortunately 2 days before our wedding she called and had a family emergency. She replaced herself with Alberto Alvana from Cancun Wedding Photography
He was fabulous, he did so much to get good pictures, and was so easy to work with and get along with!
Cecilia was fabulous too, she edited our pictures, she felt so bad about cancelling, but life happens. We felt so sad for her and her family emergency.
Both photographers were great!

I'm sure your pictures will be great too...can't wait to see them when you get back!!! Enjoy every second!

Thanks so much! we are using the resort photographer. I'm not thrilled with their work but, the price point of their packages made the most sense for us. So, we are just going to hope for the best.

For brides that had a legal wedding ceremony at Barcelo. How much of each day was spent in preparation? Would you say that each of the 4 days you had to meet with the WC?

Hello Ladies!

 

Sorry I haven't posted in a loooong time. I've been so busy since the wedding I haven't even gotten around to posting my review and planning thread. I promise those will be up VERY soon. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and our family and friends are still talking about it and how much fun they had. Picking the Palace and Playa Azul for our ceremony and reception was probably one of the best decisions we made. We would relive that day (actually the whole week!) over and over again if we could.

 

As promised, I'll post the review soon, but here is the link to our photographer's blog site in the meantime. They launched our blog yesterday and thought I'd share with you ladies. They did an amazing job capturing our day. I'll post more pictures once I get our completed package. Enjoy! And please feel free to ask any questions regarding the resort, wedding, etc.

Rowena, your photos are fantastic and you are so beautiful in them! I love love love your bouquet and how you carried the pink and lime-green colors throughout your decor and details.

We stayed at the Palace as well, and aside from the grouchy front desk people, I loved it. Thanks for sharing.

I had chosen Barcelo as my wedding destination but it seems like I will have to start the search for a new resort. They will only allow for my photographer and videographer if they are guests for a minimu of 2 nights. Crazy! That would be 4 people for two nights (2 photographers/2 videographres).

 

Wish me luck in my search! I even did a site inspection but now is a no go!

Does anyone have any wedding day timeline templates or wedding ceremony templates that they used for their Barcelo Wedding? These are my two big paper project i have left.
