Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I never heard anything about the witnesses being there early. The reason you need to be there is because of the law to get married and also to plan everything. There would be no reason the witnesses need to get there early, unless they are getting married too :-)

No one has mentioned anything to me about witnesses being there early, and it doesn't say anything on their website as far as I can tell. The resort also provides witnesses though, so it shouldn't be a problem if you're guests don't arrive until later.

Hey Leanna!

The 100 dollars just comes off your bill automatically. I emailed to book a massage and she sent me back the total price less the $100.

Just remember it $100 per ROOM, not per PERSON, so if guests are sharing rooms they will need to figure that out....

I am also considering having silk flower bouquets made up here for the bridesmaids to save some money but fresh flowers would definitely be my first choice...
Hi Shinbenea, I know quite a few destination brides have used the following vendor. I had a bouquet and bout made for us for some photos and decor at showers. These are top quaulity and really do feel/look real. I also know there are several threads about Roberta's work on this forum. Check out her items, read her reviews, and look at her photos. If you chose to go not real, this may be an option for you.

Congratulations Honey!!

We have already done ours but no one knows but all of you and my Realtor..... (funny story - the closing on my old house got delayed due to this - I was mortified when she called and asked me, not even my two boys that are walking me down the isle know). We will have a secret anniversary and the real one every year.

Leanna, If you are getting married legally in Mexico, one of the sheets I received does state the witnesses also have to be there early. Unfortunately, I don't remember how early. We are only doing the symbolic.

My DH and I are getting pedicures/manicures at the same time early on the day all our guests arrive (Thursday) . We are doing our holistic spa treatment at the same time on Friday. I will only do hair/makeup the morning of the wedding.

I was actually considering a separate facial. Does anyone that has been there experienced their facials, any recommendations? Would this be something to do a day in advance or the morning of the wedding?

5 days and counting before we sitting by one of the pools in Cancun!

I have always wanted to swim with the dolphins, and although it's not 100% included, I might splurge and do it. I'm sure it's only like 15 minutes tops with them, but whenever we vacation I always consider it so the BOGO might be a good opportunity.
Just so you guys know, I have confirmed twice with my membership reservations person on which tours are temporarily cancelled, and she said they are the Chichen Itza and the Tulum tours. (Of course, the ones I wanted to deffinitely try and do) : /
I looked yesterday and that is deffinitely not listed on the website, so just wanted to throw that out there for y'all.
She did say though that it was some kind of transportation issue they were trying to work out, and the tours MAY be restored by the time we get there in August, but no guarantees for the foreseeable future.

BOOOO. Oh well, we'll just go during our honeymoon at the Excellence. I guess we'll just wait and see what is offered free when we get down there and decide if we want to do one of them then!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
