    Soon2bemsleblan...I am also planning on getting married on the beach (July 2010)...I hope you don't mind me asking you some questions...
    what time did you book your ceremony? Where is your reception being held? What package are you going with? how many guests are you having?

    Your day is approaching... hope your planning is coming along!

      Betsy and Sarah - Thank you for the help with the questions! The pics are gorgeous!

      Betsy - I am also thinking of having my "cocktail hour" extended to two hours and have it serve as the dinner. With all the restaurants being available for the guests their entire stay, I thought it might be a nice change of pace. From what I've read it seems like there is going to be plenty of food. I have been trying to contact someone to get a list of the possible choices for appetizers for this, but no such luck yet. Hopefully by the time I get a more "final" count for how many will be there things will start falling into place.

      Only 4 more months!

          Of course, I haven't got married yet (we will be there the week before you).

          Our TA is arranging transfer for us and all our guests. It is included in our package. Our guest just give her the flight information and as it gets closer, she will tell us who we will be looking for. I have heard it isn't cheap for transfers or cabs.

          Regarding your question about presentations, I read somewhere that they ARE NOT worth it. They take up a lot of time to sit through them and you get all the pressure to buy. Do you get the Palace Passports? We actually get a $100 toward Spa and $100 toward Golf with ours, in addition to all the tours.

              Hey Tina,

              If we don't make our rooms, our group contract will be canceled. Apparently, everyone gets to keep the same price though, we just no longer get any wedding perks. Hopefully we should though...but we did lose one room yesterday!!!

                Has anyone heard from Claudia (WC) at all recently? I've sent her an email last Wednesday attempting to finalize the details of our private reception and welcome dinner, but have not heard a peep from her since.

                  Hi Jodi!

                  Our ceremony is booked for 6pm and we went with the free package plus we're going to add some optional services. My WC emailed me pictures of beach set ups with prices and they are very pretty!! We are planning on a small group, about 22 guests, but will have enough nights booked to qualify for the complimentary cocktail reception. Since our wedding is late in the evening, we aren't going with the private dinner, just the cocktail party. But from what I've heard, the cocktail reception will have plenty of food and drinks!!

                      Beautiful wedding set-up!

                      They have like 4 or 5 different menus for the cocktail hour/appetizers. And it is totally like a meal with tons of food! I didn't find out the details of the menus until I got to the Moon Palace and talked to my WC, and I can't remember all the different ones! But I do remember that it was good food LOL!
