On the saturday before my wedding my bridsmaids and I

are planning a pub crawl shots.gifshots.gifplaned by Nancy I "Hope" i think she plans transportation for that ,I think I've hard that somewhere. Anyway i will ask here but I wanna go to cocobong-go, Fattuesdays, Seinorfrogs and DaddyO's.

Oh and ladies ladies I'm sad to say there was a miss count. I DONOT HAVE 71 NITES I HAVE 61 shitfan.gifshitfan.gif that's what I get for not double checking the first time. But I still get the private funcmuscle.gif. And 4 nights free is better than none, Will take it. We only have 14 rooms booked but we have guest that are staying for 4DAYS ,5 Days so that's how it works. you don't need as many rooms as you do nites.

Peace and Love ladiessmile03.gif Katt

Hey Katt,

on the MP website it just talks about the amount of booked rooms needed for the private functions/free nights (e.g 10+ rooms= Free Cocktail hour). Do you know the breakdown for functions/free nights for total number of nights booked?

Your pub crawl sounds fun! I'm jealous.

I just emailed Nancy asking about the nights versus rooms and she told me that it is the number of rooms booked not the nights. I have 16 rooms booked for over 75 nights but I only get the cocktail reception.

Did someone at MP tell you it was nights versus rooms?

Just yesterday I went to a bridal show...and the event was mostly for those who are planning their wedding back in the states... flowers, Limo, Djs and bands....I went there mostly to get ideas. Anyway..I was watching one band, and they were amazing. Of course they performed with their entire band (10 person band) but they did a great job. So now I am "thinking" of having a small band.

Please let me know!

Hello

If your wedding is at Moon Palace and you like the idea of a live band - I would suggest the Mariachi Band

We had the Mariachi Band for our ceremony pre & post and paid for the Mariachi Band to entertain at the Cocktail Reception following the ceremony. Worth every penny . . . they sound great are very entertaining and friendly with guests.

I don't know if there are any other live band options. If you are planning on keeping your festivities shorter, then go with the mariachi band the entire time, but if not I would suggest using the self-serve IPOD option. We did this for our private dinner on the terrace and it was spectacular (I would also suggest splurging for the lighting)

Best of Luck
Laura

Hi Myen,

You will LOVE Tamms & Grant - awesome couple! It is nice to have a couple -Grant hangs with the boys, while Tammara hangs with the ladies. It nice to get 2 different perspectives and see all the things that you don't get a chance too.

Please let them know that you meet Laura & Joseph Grifa (maiden name Hale) on the BDW Forum. I would love for them to know that we have referred their services.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy

Ladies - For those of you who are having private outdoor receptions, what do you guys plan on doing after 10:00pm?

I was originally set on having an indoor reception because I didn't want to cut the party short, but I've recently been informed by my WC that if I book the Carey ballroom (as was our original plan) we have to shut it down at 11:00. So now I'm thinking of switching gears altogether and hosting an outdoor reception, but I'm at a loss on what to do after 10:00.

Our contract with our TA states it both ways. We can have 25 rooms times 3 or a total of 75 room nights. It breaks down the same for the other free items/nights.

So, did I just get screwed by my TA? Both she and my WC told me the same thing... Hmm....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
