For those of you who were already married at MP- did you miss having a DVD of the reception, or were the pictures and the ceremony DVD enough? I'm trying to decide if I want to pay extra to have them come and record the reception, or if it's not worth it to do it that way...thanks!

Dana - How much is it to have the also make a DVD of the reception? Why did I think it was included in the price

Hey nibsmom- They actually haven't given me a straightforward answer on the cost of recording the reception- my WC put me in touch with the woman who organizes the videography packages, but she hasn't answered either...it doesn't seem like many people do this, but I guess if the ceremony DVD looks nice, then the reception might be good as well...

I didn't do the DVD - some of our guests offered to videotape the ceremony and reception though and it worked out fine!

Hi Ladies,

 

We wanted the DVD of the reception. We just thought it would be nice since no one had a video camera. And we wanted to remember the speeches and dances. We really like having the reception on video. It's nice for showing our friends and family who couldn't make it on the day.

 

I think it was something like $160 usd for each extra hour. But I'm not sure if that’s exactly right.

 

I've attached everything that they emailed me 2 weeks before we left. It’s a lot of info. I hope this helps some of you with your planning.

I'm going with the resort photog and that's all fine, but I really want to do a TTD session. I'm wondering if anyone did this??

I'm wondering if I could just contact a local photog in Cancun and meet up and do a TTD session somewhere other than MP. Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks for all the documents. That helps alot looking ahead. Which wedding package did you get? We are getting the Deluxe. Did you have that much extra you had to pay for besides the DVD recording?

Palace Resorts Weddings

 

I just looked over the Superior and Deluxe Wedding Package inclusions and a DVD of the ceremony is included. I guess the extra cost is to keep them after the ceremony to tape the speeches, first dances and other things.
