1) Could you please tell me the order of the legal ceremony? I need it in order to design our program.
Reading of marriage license
Speech
Rings- vows
Signing of license
Declaration of wedding couple

2) We are doing a sand ceremony and having a family member read it for us as you suggested. When will the sand ceremony take place in the ceremony (before or after vows)?
After signing the license

3) Please send me a copy of the vows we will say.
Each justice of peace has different ones, we donâ€t know who will come

claudia also confirmed that we will get the dreams eternity honeymoon package complimentary because we qualify, which is nice. however, she won't let us do the buffet with only 33 people. there is nothing i can pick that will be good for everyone. i don't know what to do. every single entree has seafood except the chicken from the silver menu.
I am shocked that you finally got this! Score one for all the legal dreams brides!! I decided to just plan when I get there; I'm done trying email. Too many othr things to worry about...

Anyway, I emailed Claudia and she assured me they had enough staff. "Destination" took the 7 o'clock slot so I changed my wedding to 5 (to feel more comfortable). the time of year you are getting married is very popular so do not be surprised if there is more than one wedding on your day especially Friday and saturdays. If I could go back I would have scheduled the wedding on a thursday...JJ!
I feel so horrible that I did this to you. To b clear; when I scheduled the wedding I did not know there was another one that day. If it is any consolation, we really wanted the 12th, but it was the only day they wouldn't give us (I assumed because they already had one planned this day, I did not know they were putting our weddings so close together at all. I'm kinda late with everything I do, so no dead bodies please. Take your time and tell Claudia not to worry about me. We're doing pics first and frankly don't mind a sunset ceremony. FI's parents would probably like it better! I feel really bad about this, but have the date printed on so many things I can't change it now!! Please blame Dreams, not meoops.gifoops.gif

I gave up the DJ to save myself some money. I rented the sound system and it came with the guy to work it and the lights outside. I was surprised that they provided the lights.

They would have scheduled another wedding that day regardless. It just so happens that you both are on this forum. The only day I did not see any weddings was on Sunday but the rest of the days there was a wedding in early afternoon, late afternoon and evening. No way to really avoid this.

If you think about it, most places that you'd have your wedding at, at home, have at least 2 weddings per day, one in the late morning/afternoon, and one at night, they're no different.

We used Aqua for my husbands deep sea fishing trip, they had a good time, the ones that didn't get sick at least!
That's good to hear because we were a little nervous about picking a random place for the deep sea fishing trip. I already asked my doctor if she could write me a prescription for the patches people wear on cruises to avoid sea sickness becuase I am sure that will be an issue.

Really?? That makes me even happier that I am going with the sound system. I had no idea they gave you lights :-)
That's awesome.

My wedding is in November and I am skipping the cocktail hour. Many girls on this site have done it and said that their guests had cocktails at the lobby bar while the bridal party took photos.

Since it is already included in the wedding package price, make sure they comp you some other things to compensate. You should be able to negotiate based on drinks and apps for one hour and live entertainment. Look at the price list and see what that entitles you to.

I guess I was assuming that she would just deduct the amount of the cocktail hour from the wedding contract...I guess I will have to find out what she will do. I'm sure it says in this thread what Claudia has done in the past, but I can't read through all 3000 posts again!

in the past i believe she has traded it out for some additional guests at dinner or maybe one extra hour of reception. however, it's never worth your time to "assume" anything LOL, nor to concern yourself with what they've allowed others to do. they are very inconsistent and will often agree to a certain trade for one couple, but not another. claudia seems to be harder to convince than the other WCs. also good to note is that they won't give you the full cost of any individual items or services that you choose not to use, because as part of the package deal you're getting it at a reduced rate ... if that makes sense.

that said, make sure you get all the trades/credits that you can get them to agree to confirmed in writing. once your WC agrees to it, they can't take it back! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
