However, to everyone, please keep a cool and level head about this. This is a stressful time, and in my opinion, there is no need....no sense...in worring about the unknown. Lets deal with what we know and make no assumptions. Take things day by day, and know that your fellow brides are here to support you. Look at the numbers. i dont know how many of you watch CNN or any of the other news channels, but fromt what I gather, this Swine Flu is not as dangerous and deadly as the regular flu. All countries world wide are taking substantial steps toward getting this resolved. If anyone needs someone to talk to, turn to your fellow brides. We are all here for eachother....some more than others of course....but we can understand, sympathize, and offer any input if you need it.

With all that said, on a similar topic, everyone on this site has a lot of stress to a certain extent. At least those of us with upcoming weddings. Please, please, please....everyone watch your tone with your comrades. Some people say things they dont mean, others just use a poor choice of words. If that is the case and you notice it, be polite and professional about it. Making someone feel like crap because they used poor judgement in wording is counter productive. Rather, if you have something mean to say, say it in a private message or bite your tongue. Stress creates poor judgement, and stress can be cured by support. So lets all be friendly and kind with eachother, though, sometimes we may not want to :)

    HAPPY PLANNING!!!

huh? sorry i am not biting my tounge on this but what?? what made you feel like you have to give us all a lesson in etiquette? pretty condescending and ironic LOL

Maybe you should take some of your own advice.

So ladies- i am no longer a Dreams Cancun birde

Our BM's company also said he wouldn't be able to go back to work if he traveled to Mexico and i have a couple other guests that are in remission from cancer with NO immune system and their doctor's said "no way in hell" could they go. So yesterday (one of the most stressful days of my life!) we decided to change everything- cancel dreams and find a new resort that still has availability and flights for everyone. So after all of my guests and myself spending hours on the phone trying to change everything we finally all got re-booked. We're now getting married at thr Riu in Paradise Island in the Bahamas. I was soooo upset (to say the least) but Riu is a great resort and i guess i need to accept it and move on. I'll be sure to post my review and pics when we get back- we're leaving Sunday!!!

Good luck to all of you Dreams brides and those who are still going- don't worry it's just the flu! unfortunately for me i would have been the only one at my wedding if i had stayed with Dreams. oh well-everything happens for a reason.

Moving on, I just wanted to let you girls how deeply sorry I am for you. This should be one of the best days of your life, it shouldnt happen like this. As for the guests that are causing drama about the flu that dont want to come, that is very unfortunate for them, they will be missing out on something great. But if they are so concerned then they shouldnt come, it will be better for you, you wont have to listen about how concerned they are the whole time that you are.

I hope that you all are able to work something out. If there is anything I could do to help please let me know, or if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

WHO just raised the level to 5 just now, is that means no one can enter or exit Mexico now?

I heart for the May brides...

Well im so sad to say this, but due to the fact of the current issues with the swine flu we have had to postpone. We have two boys from my previous wedding and the best man has 3 kids. The is terrible right now but we have to put the safety of our families now as the priority. So good luck to all that are going we might reschedule in the next couple of weeks but as of now we are looking at other options.

See i let that virus go just to stop you doing that lmao and before anyone jumps down my throat i was bloody joking !!

Nah not heard anything all they will say is the flights until the 8th are all cancelled if you fly between the 9th and 22nd you can re-arrange flights but this airline doesn't go anywhere that I can get married quickly so i'm having to wait until they cancel.

You can still come might end up in Hawaii lol it's one of the only places i can go!!
