we are doing the legal ceremony and all i've gotten claudia to send me was the judge's speech (but not what the vows are or what is said for the exchange of rings ... you know, the important parts!!!!!!!!) ... i have emailed her *again* today to ask for the vows and the order of the ceremony ... i figure if i keep asking her in every way i can think of, eventually i've got to get an actual answer, right? LOL so frustrating! oh and she did confirm that you are allowed to add a sand ceremony and a reading, but the judge (apparently there's a new one they are dealing with) won't read those parts. you will have to get a friend or family member to read it.

you can find the judge's speech here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-31#post493856

2.- Welcome words: We have come together, family and friends…..
3.- Pray about the ceremony and for the couple
4.- Brief sermon about love: 1Cor 13
Love is patience love is kind, it does not envy,….
5.- Response questions, to groom and to bride, do you come on your free will and with a consicious desire to be united in marriage with….?
6.- Exchange of traditional vows: with groom and wife
I___ take you ___ to be my wedded wife ,to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer in sickness and in health and forsaking all others I give myself only and always to you until death do us part
And so with the bride…
6.- Exchange of rings
What token of love and fidelity do you have to seal the pact we are doing today?
_____ receive this ring as a symbol of my life that I am giving you today and always, with this ring I thee wed
and so the bride
7.- Pronouncements: Because you ___ and ___ have exchange before us your promises of eternal love, and in our presence you have exchange symbols which make this pact visible
I as a servant of the Living God pronounce you before The Father, Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit and the community as husband and wife.
So you are no more two but only one, what God had joined together let no man separate.
Congratulations!!! You may kiss your Bride.

Let me introduce you for the first time Mr. & Mrs. ________________

after reading it, i decided we would write our own vows..its kinda too religious for me, plus i think its much more beautiful saying whats in your heart to your new hubby!

Does the sand ceremony come after this? I am confused where it goes??

Same here, so confusing... so do they read those script first, then the sand ceremony script, and then 'kiss the bride'?

Does anyone know if I need to provide sand ceremony script to them or they have it?

i made my wedding hair appt (and one for my mom at the same time), and i've emailed to set the appt for our couple's massage for the day *after* the wedding ... i figured we'd NEED it then after all that partying ... i was sure to ask for late afternoon (3pm), LOL! also trying to find out from claudia if she'll let us do the buffet with 33 people (you're supposed to have 40). it's too hard to pick one thing for everyone when there are so many allergies, vegetarians, and just plain picky eaters. hopefully she'll let us so there's at least a choice to be had! i'll let you ladies know what she says.

I don't know how to upload, or maybe I just don't have enough points. The private dinners range between $200 to $280, but if you have 10 or more rooms booked for your wedding party, you get a free additional package (Eternity Honeymoon Package) that includes the private dinner for two, a salt scrub or mini facial, two 25 minute tension relief massages, fresh flowers and fruit basket upon arrival and a champagne breakfast in bed the day after arrival. I wanted to choose of the platinum menu though since my FI is a picky eater, so I am paying the difference. It's $200 for the standard and $280 for the platinum so I will pay the .80. I thought it was worth it...nice, romantic surprise after we're married. You can have the dinner set up on the pier or at one of the two tiki huts on the grounds. The WC sent me some pics too and it looks really nice!

they have one that they use, or you could use a different one but you'll take a chance on the officiant's english, lol. if you are doing a legal ceremony you need to have to provide your own reader because the judge will not do it. if you're having your own person read it, it can say whatever you want it to!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
