Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

I have a few questions for those of you who have been married here:

1) Did you have to send your information to the resort by e-mail before you left (i.e. birth certificate, passport, apostille document?) I noticed they say on their website that the required information must be sent at least a month in advance, but Gaby didn't ask me to e-mail her any info? We are a little over a month away now.

2) How did you tip while at the resort (i.e. wedding coordinator, hairstylist, photographer)? I thought I saw this somewhere on the forum, but can't seem to find it.

3) Do you know if they are any close to having a webcam available at the gazebo? Would be so nice to have for those that aren't able to make it.

If someone could help me out, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks so much!

99% sure it will be on the tower terrace (outdoor). for ladies who have been married there, do you think the terrace is big enough to accommodate tables for 25-30 guests, plus a large enough dancing area?

i had no idea i had to send the stuff ahead of time! yikes! and does anyone know for sure if i still need an apostille document if i am bringing my original birth certificate with raised seal? my travel agent asked this question for me and got "yes, original birth certificate is ok," but i think claudia may have misunderstood the question (my travel agent wasn't very clear). i recently tried to ask again (in a clearer way), but have gotten no response.

I've asked her recently about docs. I sent her an email saying this is what i have is this right - she replied yes

I asked if she needed them before hand and she didn't answer lol Therefore I'm not sending them she can have them when we get there.

As for apostile on your birth cert I have to have one not sure about US

3) Last information I remember reading is that the wed cam was still not available.

I can not believe they are canning yet another WC. This will be my third since I started this process. Maybe they should try having more than 2 people to run the show and then maybe... these poor women will not be overworked. I feel like emailing someone at Dreams and letting them how I feel about their dumb decisions. I am so pissed right now mad2.gif.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
