Jessica,

Could you tell me who you spoke with at Euforia? Also, did she send any price info or pics to you? I'm trying to finalize the budgeting and the flowers are the last piece to the puzzle. I've seen a few other people on the forum say that she is "pricey". In your opinion, do you think so?

I have been working with Andrea from Euforia. I basically just told her what I wanted, then she sent me price quotes and pictures of the types of flowers she could get. Compared to other florists I think she is comprable, if not on the inexpensive side. I don't have my quote in front of me, but my bouquet of roses and liles is $80, Bridesmaid bouquets are $50, and bouts are $10-$15. We are getting four centerpieces at about $80 each. Total, I think we are spending about $900 in flowers, which is not that bad. She requires a 50% of the total cost for deposit to save your date. She will also send mock up photos of your bouquets if you want, after you have sent in the deposit.

Hope that helps!

I have a question to everyone...what did you guys serve at cocktail hours? What foods/beverages? (Or, what are you planning on serving at your cocktail hour?) I'm having a hard time figuring this one out, and all of the options just seem sooo expensive! Thanks ladies!!

Hey Jessica!

You're getting very close to your date. Have you finished figuring out the final details of your cocktail hour? A cost effective idea is to have cheese, crackers and fruit, especially if you're going to serve a few courses for your reception.

Are you getting nervous yet?

Did you plan to have a welcome party or anything like that?

I wish you well with the planning!!smile03.gif

HI Hilton Brides!!

I am new to this forum and have been looking around and I have to say I think I'm pretty set on the Hilton for our wedding. All of your posts have been so incredibly informative. I know I'm starting the planning late in the game, BUT its the situation we are delt with because my FI is in the military. I am looking at doing our wedding 11.22.09 or 11.28.09 at the Hilton.

Can someone tell me the best steps to take first? I'm really worried about getting everything done in time. I would love to be able to talk to one of the Hilton brides if possible my email is Devon_Margie@yahoo.com and we can exchange info. I'm just not sure where to start and could use a lil guidance from you ladies.

Happy Planning!

Margie

Hello ladies!! To answer your question, Opice, things have been so up and down and stressful, I have basically just been waiting and seeing what would happen next. Thank GOD things have turned around (at least a little, for now). Last week was the worst week ever - it was like a roller coaster ride! One moment I thought ok, this will all be fine, and the next I was crying at my desk b/c I'm so worried. I had about 11 guests in total that were considering cancelling (one was my MOH, the other a bridesmaid). It looks like only 3 of them actually did/will - none in my wedding party, thank goodness. I'm so thankful to have you girls to turn to in the unsure time...thanks for all the girls who posted from Mexico reassuring us that everything is fine there...that has really helped me through these past weeks. So, as it stands (and we have no Plan B or plans of changing), we are still going ahead with our wedding on May 24 at the beautiful Hilton Resort in Cancun. We leave on the 20th (two weeks away now!) and FI and I cannot wait!!!!! It is so nice to be able to go stress now about every other last minute wedding detail I haven't done yet (there are unfortunately a LOT of them), and not this stupid H1N1 Flu and freaking out about my guests. Yesterday I was feeling so confident I went ahead and made all my payments - snorkeling excursion, hotel, rehearsal dinner, shuttle to the hotel, etc. Things are certainly looking up!

Stay strong girls, we will ALL get through this. I know its hard to tell in times like this, but I believe that everything does happen for a reason.

Hi Jessica,

I've been meaning to get on here and wish you the best of luck! I guess that we were freaking out at the same time. Hopefully, all of your worries have been washed away and you're moving full steam ahead!

I hope that you have a great wedding! I can't wait until you get back to hear all about it and see the pictures!

Best wishes!!!

Felicia

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
