Nikki,

How many was in your party? Did they give you a hard time/try to charge you for your group?

It wasn't incredibly crowded so I didn't even notice the others. The food was very good, I always went for the seafood! I was too busy talking/taking pictures/enjoying things to eat that much, but I don't remember it being incredibly heavy.

OMG I leave in a week and I have so much to do!  Thanks ladies for the recommendations for El Bistro - we're totally doing our rehearsal dinner there.  Now I just have to pick up my dress, finish the favors, and figure out our wedding music - all while recovering from my bachelorette party over the weekend...Ugh...

Lisa - You just go to your bank and wire money over to El Bistro's account, I had to do that with all my vendors. There was a $12 fee at my bank.

Bmlynch and Kerri, Randi and Giraffexx we are all leaving soon!!!! I can't believe it I hope we all have amazing weather and great weddings!

Thanks B2BDebbie! :)

And thanks to everyone on the nice compliments :)   We were so happy with the whole experience and LOVED our photographer/photos.

I'm so excited for all the gals who are planning their weddings. You are going to LOVE IT!!!!!  I swear, every bride should do a Destination Wedding :)

We had a very small number of guests - only 11 people total, so we did a HUGE "At Home Wedding Reception" at our Ranch in California for 130 people.  That was WAY CRAZIER to plan than our actual wedding in PDC :)

BTW - I wore my dress into the ocean for TTD, and I "cleaned it" - by putting it in the big jacuzzi hot tub in our room. Just filled it up, stuck the dress in, and turned on the jets!  It got all the dirt and sand and ocean water out. LOL!  Then just "hung dry"....my mom pressed it when we got home and it was perfect enough to wear for our First Dance at the At Home Wedding Reception.

I don't think that would have worked with a real silk dress though.....

Msglave - We had right around 30. They weren't going to accomodate us since you usually have to pay $15/guest ahead of time, but my dad slipped them some money (I found this out after the wedding) and said 'make it happen' and everything went flawless......

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
