Okay ladies, I am really starting to get upset! I have not yet heard from the resort that they are moving or about this website. This is ridiculous! I'm really trying not to be super pissed but I can't help it!

i'm trying to change my semi-private reception to a private one and have been waiting for almost 2 weeks now to hear from my WC.

she contacted me a while back to confirm she's settling in now in Mexico as she was one of the ones that moved there.

hmmm.....when should i be concerned?

Have you tried contacting them? I got assigned to my WC because I sent a message under the contact us part of the wedding site. I just basically asked to be re assigned and I got an email within hours. I'm assigned to Ana Perez, and I have to say she seems great. She actually emails me different things and questions, I haven't even had to contact her yet!

Yes, I emailed Leila, Zulma and the wedding sales general email. However, I do not feel that I should have had to do this. If I didn't have BDW, I would be in the dark about the move and everything else. I just don't understand their organizational process. I'll let you know if/when I get a response.

For past brides who bought chair sashes, did you use the same ones from the ceremony for the reception site, or do I need to buy double if i get some?

Also, is using Chiavari chairs an option? Can I use them for both ceremony and reception?

Thanks! :)
i brought my own chair sashes. i hadn't even thought about bringing additional sashes for the reception! but my onsite WC had them moved from the ceremony site to the beach reception site (right next to the ceremony site). my group was small, only about 15 guests, so it wasn't that much work. but i'm sooo glad that she had it done! i would check with your WC to see if they're able to do this. if you have a little time between your ceremony and reception, i would guess that they would move them for you!

we just brought our own ceremony, which my mom performed. with a symbolic, you're pretty much able to do whatever you want to do!
but have you checked out the thread about ceremony scripts? it's super helpful and gives a ton of ideas. that thread was huge in helping us write our ceremony!

I just heard back from Zulma - the new web link that everyone is getting is for those brides who never had a WC in Mexico. It is to help Keep track of everything and make sure that everything is properly transferred from the US to Mexico.

I knew reading all these post will be good, but now i am also very nervous.

I am very afraid that some, if not most of my guest, will not be able to afford this hotel. Not even the Porto.

Now i am driving myself crazy, on how i should do things> I am not sure i need a package, if most of the guest will not be staying t the resort.

I am thinking that maybe, going a-la-cart might be less expensive, but not sure. I am so confuse.

any suggestions, i am on the beginning stage of this, yet i am already getting stomachache about it.

We will be doing this, alone, or with guest, but i would really like to have my love one with me. And ha stomache ve the reception that i already planned in my head.

Thanks Jesmcan! Mine has nothing on there, I wonder if I'm suppose to put stuff or if my WC just hasn't gotten around to it yet. It takes her a week to answer my emails, a lil frustrating but I'm trying to be patient.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
