I think it really depends on where you are in your cycle, thatâ€s how sensitive you'll be to pain. Just take 2 tylenols before! I was embarrassed at first but then you remember that this is what they do for a living and mine isn't the first one they saw LOL
Ok, if waxing hurts more then I'm gonna do the laser lol. I'll just order the topical cream and take some tylenols like you suggested lol.

I was supposed to do whole nine yards brazilian wax but i chicked out and had the landing strip. I never did it before so the lady told me to get the strip until i am used to it. HOLY COW BALLS. That's all I have to say. Like Jenny, I am getting ingrown hairs and it sucks. I have been using Bliss No Ingrown hair product so it is supposed to be helping. I did it three days before the wedding and I had no problems. I also applied "No scream" Bikini wax cream 30 min before and took two tyenlols.

thanks for the info on the table seating #s! i had no idea! i would have randomly guessed 8-10 to a table. good to know they are small tables.

also, on the issue of food, i was told by my WC (Rebekah) that i can choose 2 entrees by doing 1 regular entree and a vegetarian entree. that's the only way i was told i could do 2 (and i asked several times). so i am going with the beef tournedo and the eggplant cake. that is the choice for the main meal that i am giving everyone. hope this helps.

also, i am wondering if anyone was a november/december bride and can comment on having the reception on the beach versus in the central garden at The Royal. Ceremony at 4, cocktails at 5 in garden & reception 7 on the beach.
My two issues are
1) is it going to be cold & windy? don't want to freeze anyone out & i know my mom gets cold when i'm not cold!
2) the lighting for photog & just generally seeing people. i know there are lights under the table but not sure about other lighting & i was thinking that maybe the garden would be better lit? but i like the privacy of the beach. if anyone has any opinions, they are much appreciated!!

thanks again!

I was posting on the waxing thread but it's more comfortable with my fellow Royal/Gran brides. Jess I heard to get a test run, with plenty of time for it to grow back. The 'growing out' phase is what I'm most nervous about. Yes on the tylenol (so I've been told). The lady I'm going to explains it pretty good if you're nervous: Bikini Waxing Las Vegas It puts a light hearted twist on it (just ignore the start when it talks about Vegas).

Or will you just give ppl the card before they sit down? Sorry I'm a visual type of person so I'm trying to see what it wold be like. I'm having the same issue bc I know not eveyone in my group eats meat.
I chose half beef and half chicken and I am going to place the cards on a table. First come first serve. Whoever picks up their card first will have a choice and they will take them to their table and place them in a bucket for the waiters to collect. This way I avoid a seating chart and another headache. Most people didn't mind either way so whomever is last will have to settle.
I hope this helps.

Hi! Does anyone have a formal statement from the hotel regarding the dress code that I see mentioned here (but was never told by my WC or on the website!)? Can guys wear nice sneakers? Are there any restaurants at The Royal or Gran Porto that do not have a dress code?

THANKS!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
