I am curious about this too. Same with the flowers. I am not a rose girl and that's seems to be the only choice for their standard bouquets. I like one of their upgraded bouquets... it has peonies it in (my fave!) but it's $230!!! INSANE! Can you not pay the diff since you get these items in your package anyways or do you still have to pay the full amount for these upgrades?

They sale everything off the rack but their dresses are in prestine condition. They take really good care of their dresses and they have mostly 8's and 10's in size. Worth a walk through!
That's not too far from me either, I will definitely check it out, thanks!

I'm using Smart Honeymoon and I will probably ask for something diff for bridal shower like lingerie.

I booked him directly because I wanted to ensure that I actually had him as the DJ. He told me I would not be charged the vendor fee because he is the in-house DJ for the Royal anway. If this is not the case, i'm charging it to him lol.

I think 9pm is really late. Are you doing apps in between or anything to hold them over?

We are doing the beach reception same day you are. We got the luxury package which included the tables, chairs, standard centerpiece (candle with glass plate). They also will provide a dance floor but it is basically two pieces of plyboard. You can actually do a search for it, someone posted it on the forum. You provide the rest of the decor. LOL, you could use mine after I'm done! My reception is over at 8pm....ha! rofl.gif

yep, it's super late! i'm thinking about having everyone meet for apps/snacks at one of the restaurants before the ceremony. there will be the option to have the champagne and cake after the ceremony. but i'm REALLY hoping that i'll be able to move the dinner up an hour or two now that i'm upgrading to the private reception.

are you doing anything after your reception?

I am pretty sure you can have your dinner start at any time as long as the location is available. Mine is at 730 pm for example. I was told the usual timeline is wedding, then 1/2 hour for pictures, then 1 hour for cocktail reception (if you are having one), then 3 hour reception. So my wedding is at 530pm, cocktails at 630, reception at 730pm. Hope this helps!

You have to pay the full amount. I already asked (bouquets too). That's half the reason we chose the "Free" wedding package and then we are just upgrading and paying for all the customized touches we want. Ends up being the same cost as the eternal romance package, plus the minister is free! It pays to stay 5 nights in a Master Suite.

Sorry to hear that- I am running into the same issues. If you want to change anything in your package, it seems like the included option is completely void and they want to charge you an arm and a leg for anything different. Doesnt make too much sense!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
