it's for weekend weddings beginning 4pm or later. when i heard about it, i thought i would need to fight to not have to pay it. or worse yet, possibly change the time of my wedding (i really want it at sunset, but am not sure it's worth an extra $400!). however, i just asked my WC (angie) about it. since it was implemented after i booked, she simply said i don't have to pay. i was sure to print the e-mail and put it in my binder, but it was really a non-issue.

the revision date is listed as december 10th. so hopefully you booked in advance of that date! good luck.

Yes just because I am doing two different options for the dinner entree and they needed to know how many of each was needed.

But I know no one else is coming and everyone is booked already thank goodness since word is that the hotels are booked solid.

I really hope they don't take long to get the final total. Supposedly all my money is due April 1 so it'd be nice to know how much more I'm going to have to pay.

We decided to do an a la carte wedding instead of a package so I'm thinking that this is why we are being charged that. She did not come out and offer this information I heard it on here on a post from a long time ago. I had to ask her about it before she fessed up to it. Oh and our wedding is at 2 pm on a Friday so it's definitely not the weekend charge after 4. She said it covered the charge of the gazebo, tables chairs, linens, lighting, set up, etc.

The ceremony is $10 for non-guests $5 for children
Cocktail Hour is $20 for non-guests I was told $5 for children
For a 3 hour private reception it is $50 and 4 hour is $60 for each non-guest I am not sure about the children

yup- stephanie, keep that email. they definitely do have to pay if they are non-real guests. Four of my guests (two adults, two kids) were going to stay at a marriot and I got quoted the same as above (thankfully are now at the Gran). Real guests get the standard price

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
