Hi celine!
I'm using Vicotor and so are a few other ladies on BDW (see below), but he doesn't have any reviews on here, yet. I randomly stumbled upon him while searching online for a photog in our budget. He seems like a super sweet guy, very responsive, very good pricing and his pics are beautiful so I would definitely recommend him from what I've experienced up to this point msnwink.gif Good luck!

We're using Victor Herrera (Victor Herrera Wedding Photographer Cancun and Riviera Maya | Mexico Destination Wedding Photographers | International Wedding Photographer). We booked before the rate change, though, so luckily we're still at the $100 outside vendor fee. Here's his pricing info http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ography-53033/

First i was told that the oct. date that i wanted was totally open according to their sheet, so i was sent all the paperwork incl. booking sheet, credit authorization etc..I filled it out and sent it right back and was told the date will be confirmed with the resort by the next day. Waited and waited to no avail. I called the office and was told sorry they overlooked a wedding of 500 people on that same weekend that somehow was deleted off their sheet. Okay so looked at another date in November and was told i needed to await confirmation again from the resort. The weekend came and went and finally after hearing nothing by late Monday, I called and they acted like they had no idea who I was or what I was calling about. I had to re-explain and at that point I said after the lack of response I have received both times now, I am getting ready to go elsewhere. Well, after they apoligized she promised to email me the date and times and locations of my request and that I should hear for sure by today!!!

Still havent heard a thing..... Is this standard for them b/c im sorry this is rambling on but I am not trying to plan my wedding overnight :), I just want to nail down a date with times of ceremony and venue choices. Any and all input will be appreciated.
Oh man, I'm sorry that has been happening to you rant.gif I would definitely not be happy, either.
Have they assigned you a WC, yet? If you look back over the last 20 or so pgs of the thread, you'll see that their best WC (Kimberly R) up and quit a couple weeks ago and left them (and us!) high and dry. So that might be why its taking them so long to get back to you (on top of their slow communication in general).
I would suggest emailing rather than phone calls. I haven't called the WC office once and haven't had any problems w/them not knowing who I was at any point. Plus you'll have everything in writing that way and you won't have to remind them who you are everytime you speak to someone new. They aren't the fastest w/communication, even via email, but I have found (and many other ladies on here) that if you send the same email to them once a day (being polite but stern) they'll get back to you. Hope that helps!

Do any of you know if you need any kind of ac plug converter at the Royal, or do american plugs (flat irons, hair dryers, etc) work there?

Thanks in advance.
I was told Mexico runs on standard US. So no adapters needed. I looked it up online to make sure and it was right.

I just thought of something- We have the Luxury Pkg which includes 1 HR cocktail- what are the location options for this? Do you get to choose (because I don't remember that being a selection on any of the sheets)

Oh and Jesmcan, I totally love your website and TOTALLY copied stuff from you and candicemarie (hope you don't mind). **tee hee** it was just so well done!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
