Oh Missy!!! I am soooo jealous! I can't wait to go back.

My to do list is shrinking rapidly. My second dress fitting is tomorrow, I've got more OOT bags to iron the logo on, I have to order hats and mugs, and wrap the handles of about 50 fans, print a few more menu cards and then...

pack and get married. Woo hoo!

Thanks for the offer of help! I appreciate it soooo much. But I (very oddly) seem to have everything under control. I may end up giving Rachel a run for her money on the chillest bride title. Whooda thunk?

Hi everyone,

I am a brand new Paradisus Bride, April 29th, 2009 and I just wanted to say hello to you all!!! I have been reading through this post and there is a ton of great information here already. I am so excited the resort looks amazing and Perla has already been great at responding. What did you girls do next after everything was confirmed? I have been looking at resorts and destinations for the last 3 months and now I have no clue what to do next!!!

Congrats on picking your resort! The good thing is you have plenty of time to decide on all of the details. I'm kinda in the same boat as you... I've been picking away at some little things. Started getting stuff for my OOT bags, emailed dj's, looking at flowers. Have you sent out STD's yet? Let the fun begin! lol

Welcome Freckles! I am in a similar boat as you- I have that resort business out of the way and now just need to start. I created a wedding website and I just received my STD's and plan on mailing them out this weekend. Basically I just read the boards and get some great ideas. I was just incredibly relieved when i finally picked a resort! Good luck with y our planning.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Im so relieved we finally made a decision. It was starting to feel like we would never find a place. Im starting on a website and my sister has offered to do my STDs as im not very crafty. I have found so much good information on here, everyone seems very helpful.

Hi girls I am back!!!! Well Ive been back for awhile but upon our return work has been hell for me (getting out at 10pm) so as you can imagine Ive been tired and havent been doing much.

But...... Im going to try and get my review done this weekend. All I have to tell everyone is no worries the Paradisus is great and Perla and Elisa (although Ive read from your posts she has left) are a pure joy to work with. They have it all under control and do a wonderful job!!!!

I had the most beautiful wedding I could have hoped for, although time seemed to fly by and I wish the day lasted a bit longer it was everything and more. Im so glad we chose a DW and many of our family and friends were able to be with us I would do it all over again if I could.

Off to get started on my review........PM if you have any questions.

Silly question and I should do research but maybe one of you know......Do I have to do anything with my marriage certificate to make my wedding legal in the US (get it translated or anything?) Heheheh for all I know its still not legal yet =) aaahhh well that just means I have to do it again smile159.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
