My DIY Ring Bearer Sign Instead of Pillow with Pics

Recommended Posts

I have been seeing signs similar to this on Etsy selling for outrageous amounts of money. I guess if you aren't into DIY or don't have nice handwriting you can justify the price tag, but I love DIY and I have nice handwriting so I decided to make my own!

Materials:

small piece of wood from Michael's

wood stain (I used a dark walnut color that I already had)

drill- to drill holes for the ribbon

ribbon

paint pen or paint and paint brush (I used a combination of both bc my paint pen was running out)

Instructions: This was so simple. First I drilled holes where I wanted to thread the ribbon through. Then I stained the wood and let it dry over night. The next day I painted the saying "Daddy, here comes your bride." You could paint anything- if the groom is your ring bearer's uncle, for example "Uncle Dan, here comes your bride." You get the picture... Then I just thread the ribbon through and tied knots. Here is how it came out:

I have been letting my son play with it a little in hopes that he will be interested in actually carrying it down the aisle.

I like this alternative to having him actually "bear the rings" bc he will just be one month shy of 2 years old when we get married and I didn't want to chance that...

Happy planning ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
