ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions - Page 918

I did my boudoir photoshoot this afternoon, and it was AMAZING! I cannot wait to get my pictures, and my honey is going to be totally surprised when he sees them! If any of you have been thinking about doing one, I totally recommend it!

I am okay with a guest putting everything out. I am fortunate enough that my mom's best friend is a former florist and wedding coordinator and if going to make alot of the stuff for us to save us big money. He will be in charge of the tables and flowers and has offered to do it all for us!

As of now I am just going to keep my mouth shut with Ana and not really go into any more details to avoid the"no's" and the costs. I think I will just wait to speak to the onsite at the wedding about the photographer. I am sure they will say not a big deal. Thanks so much for all your feed back! Makes going through all this alot easier!

I got really sick of dealing with my off-site coordinator so I didn't really tell her much, then when I got down there I told my onsite coordinator this is what we are doing.  The off site coordinators will tell you no and try to charge you for everything however the onsite ones are much, much more flexible with things.  It was easy for us to do it that way since we were not relying on the resort for much and used outside vendors for alot of things.

Ok former brides...we are finalizing Menu's and decided that buffet style is easiest to accomodate various dietary restrictions of my honey's family....has any tried the Mexican or Yucatan and what did you like or not like about them?  Thanks!!!

Also, has anyone asked if it's possible to mix and match?  Both look really good, but having part of each would be heavenly!

Thansk!

I also have Elvy! I found that she responded quickly at first but now I find it takes her alot longer to reply the closer I get to my wedding!

I'm on my 3rd WC and finally have a great one. To be fair, my first one was good too (but only had her for a week or two) but ended up leaving the company so was placed with my 2nd.  Thankfully my 2nd WC went on maternity leave so I was provided with Elvy.  I've been very impressed with Elvy, so quick to respond and is very thorough.  My last WC took soooo long to respond and many times never answered my questions!!  I've also heard (on this site) that Anna is good.  Honestly, switch! Right before Christmas I was up in arms (shared my frustration on this site) and started relooking into other resorts.  Now, I'm staying with the Royal! It makes such a difference in your overall experience so I suggest switch asap :)

100 days! I am so excited! I can't believe it is so close! It looks like our final guest total is 30 (possibly 32). This is going to be awesome :)

Prettypigpig,

Would you happen to still have this spreadsheet?

Hi Maggie,

I'm planning to wearing my hair down too. Unless I’m at the gym I never wear my hair up, so for our wedding day I want my FI to recognize me and wear it down.

My game plan is to go ahead and schedule a hair appointment to do my hair. If it is a too hot of a day or too windy I will have them put it up. If it's a perfect day i'll just have them curl it a bit.

I was wondering if it would be ok to have hair down.  I know most people do their hair  up because of the wind factor, but I hate my hair up.  Do you think it will get tangled/hot mess-y if I keep it down?  Thanks ladies!

Hello

I have a question for all The Royal Playa Del Carmen Brides. Were you given or sent a contract to sign? I have sent my deposit and started planning my wedding but every time I ask my wedding coordinator when will we be provided with a contract to sign she ignores me. My fiance is a lawyer and keeps insisting that a contract be signed to guarantee the date, time, location and package we have chosen. But I keep getting ignored.

Have you ladies been provided with a contract or something written?
