Wright Travel Agency - Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Specialists

We started planning our wedding back in August of 2009 at which time we booked our wedding and hotel through a TA at a different company.  After a great deal of complaints from our family members regarding our previous TA's level of communication and pricing, I took a chance and switched to Tammy Wright at Wright Travel (you know....our one and only Tammy who runs the BDW site!).  She was awesome!!!  Not only did she always communicate with me and our guests in a timely manner, but she also saved us about $800 on our hotel reservation.  She emailed all of our documents right away and responded to my emails from Mexico both when we had a question about our transfer back to the airport and when we found ourselves in a crunch on our return flight.  I never worried after we changed TA’s and would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Tammy is one of the best things that happened in our wedding planning!  Not only did she ease tremendous anxiety on my end about booking a destination wedding, but she checked in with me throughout the process, and was always there to answer questions (and there were many!).  She put me in touch with another TA for the resort reservations, and that was a terrific experience, too!

I can't say enough great things about Tammy.  If you are booking a wedding in Cabo, you simply MUST use her as your TA!!

After contacting a AAA travel agent near me and doing a TON of internet research on trip advisor, BDW.com, AAA, etc. I decided to contact Wright Travel to see if they could provide insight on my destination wedding resort vision.  I knew I wanted to be in the Playa del Carmen area, but there are so many amazing hotels down there I was going crazy and even started a spreadsheet with pricing, pros, cons, etc.  

Once I heard back from Wendy and talked to her on the phone I knew I was in good hands.  I felt like she understood what I wanted out of a resort and she recommended the NOW Jade which is between Cancun and Playa del Carmen.  The resort ended up being under budget and above and beyond our expectations, and I would have never found it without Wendy suggesting it, as there is very little advertising done or online presence.  

She coordinated everything for our 40 guests and was always just a quick email away.  We ended up getting a room upgrade and the credit received based on our guests' bookings was amazing!

I would HIGHLY recommend Wendy to any future brides!!  

We used Wendy Hicks with Wright Travel and everything was great.  I started talking with Wendy June, 2011 just by completing a request form from Wright Travel.  My Wife and I moved to Buffalo, NY a few years ago with all of our other family members spread out in Iowa.  Every one was very happy with Wendy and how easy it was to get their rooms booked.  Neither Jami or myself had to answer any questions from any of our guests and they were always able to get their answers from Wendy.
