Cons: Time went too fast,
We recently got married at the beautiful Catalonia Riviera Maya on February 10, 2010. We had 40 guests join us and we re-live our wedding every chance we get. We would like to firstly thank the Catalonia for their care and never ending support during our stay concerning my mother who was wheelchair bound. Just to see the look on my mom's face was priceless she had a wonderful time. Catalonia went above and beyond to make sure our friends and family had a great time. They helped push my mom around and made things so much simpler for us. The wait staff is incredible and during our time at the Catalonia we felt like they were part of our family. They made my grandma laugh and kept my cousins busy with their daily activities.
Our wedding coordinators Elena/Cora were fantastic as they kept in close contact with us before we arrived and daily while we were at the resort. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach and the weather was perfect and everything was very organized.
The surroundings were spectacular and the groundskeepers were always behind the scenes cleaning up and making the resort look even more beautiful. Our suite was amazing and very spacious. Our family and friends enjoyed stopping over to visit and that is where we spent alot of our time. The maids kept our refrigerator stocked with our favorite beverages and we never had to ask for more!
The food was delicious and very readily available. The buffets were always stocked and we enjoyed the different themes throughout the week. I think we all gained a few pounds that week for sure.
Our guests had an amazing time and they talk about the wonderful memories they made. For most of our guests this was their first "real" vacation!
We have a unique situation as we are from the USA, live in CHINA and got married in MEXICO. We wouldn't have it any other way!!! This resort exceeded our expectations and we are hoping to visit for our one year anniversary!
