Thanks for the review. I'm a pro photographer in Oregon considering a quick shotgun wedding at the Gran Porto or Royal in two months, mainly because of the images I saw of your wedding. Michelle and Justion Stevens entered your wedding album into the Professional Photographers of Oregon Photographic competition and it got a 97!!!!! That is quite remarkable and highly unusual to score so high (out of 100. I was on the print committee and got to handle it for the judges to review)! It won so many awards that night it was ridiculous, including the PPO Sweepstakes Trophy. Fabulous photography. You should be very proud. Your album is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen.

Thank you so much for the compliments! Michelle & Justin are fantastic and really wonderful people too. I know about all the crazy awards-that is insane, but they really know how to capture the moment. The Royal was awesome too!

Hope you are having fun planning, once the day arrives it goes WAY TOO FAST!! Anyways I wanted to share the photos from our photographer Artistique out of Portland. They just won album of the year with our book. They are fantastic, great people, super fun to work with and really got some good shots. Anyways wanted to share :)

Allison,

Did you book the DJ directly through the hotel or did you contact him on your own and book him that way? I know you can reserve a DJ through the Royal and am wondering if you get the same guy you had.

I booked the DJ on my own, but I do not think that is allowed any more. I think it is the same DJ though.

I see that you went to the Tulum Ruins for some pictures. How were you able to get in for pictures? I have heard a lot of people say that you are not allowed to get in with a professional photographer.
