Our DIY Message In Bottle *Pics*

Hi! Once FI and I decided on a destination wedding we knew we wanted to do Message In Bottle invites so I want to thank everyone who posted theirs bc it gave us some great ideas and we are so pleased with the way they came out. We ordered our bottles from Sand Blast Entertainment we ordered the plastic bottles, boxes and shells and were happy with everything we got (we got 85). My mom gave us the sand and we used parchment paper that we got a Office Max. The most time consuming was burning the paper we burnt the invite, rsvp, travel info and stickers for the bottles. As a nice touch we dipped the corks in coconut oil (from Michaels) and it was a huge hit. Our total cost without shipping (bc we are still boxing them) is about $165 to do 85 of them.

Kudos!!! they look great and im sure your guest will love them. The burning of the paper brought back memories of grade school ha ha we did that w the constitution.

they look great! i can imagine the burning of the paper took ages - but look at it all together - you done a great job! if i were your guest i'd be really chuffed to get them as an invite!
